<p>Well well well, what do we have here.</p><p><a href="http://imgur.com/W83D2Cx" target="_blank"><img alt="" src="https://www.miataturbo.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=146291&dateline=14 38835129" /></a><br /><a href="http://imgur.com/Ugb8TP4" target="_blank"><img alt="" src="https://www.miataturbo.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=146292&dateline=14 38835129" /></a></p><p>These versions come with suction cups. The next versions probably will not, the suction cups just aren't very strong and they seem to wear out. Velcro is way better.</p><p>Also, props to my gf, she did like over half the work assembling them.</p>
Cool, nice work Aidan (and gf!)
Velcro probably a better idea all around, just don't get the really cheap stuff that doesn't stay stuck to the glass in the heat of the sun...

I have some extra strong stuff laying around from my ECU and Fused Circuit work. I will just do it right the first time, I don't want stuff flying around at the track.
Very excited! I am hosting a Test N Tune on the 13th and a Time Attack on the 21st. I look forward to trying it out.

Just wanted to update this thread with another prop for this product.
This last weekend we did the 24 hour chumpcar race at VIR and used the aidandj gps module with race chrono running on a very old samsung Galaxy S (like the original one...).
The thing worked perfectly for 24 hours. We mounted it to the windshield with the supplied suction cups and never had any problems. The gps would lose power at ever pit stop, but it would start right back up and sync with the phone immediately.
We have 24+ hours of ~10hz data, 496 laps worth.
So my unit now has a total of 52 hours of racing use in two different cars, in all sorts of different conditions (rain, heavy blowing rain, extreme heat, and temperate weather) and has never missed a beat once.
I can't recommend this enough. Heck, if it broke tomorrow and never worked again I'd still be a satisfied customer.
Cheers

<p>Thanks Efini. Sorry guys, they are still sitting at home. I've had a busy week. I finally remembered to bring my spreadsheet of addresses to work today so I will be buying shipping labels.</p>
