April came and went without any comments or updates??
My current ecu is acting flakey, would love to replace it with one of these.

I'm in the process of upgrading all of my ECUs to single-enclosure models (this means no more adapter harnesses). Once that is out of the way, I'll swiftly resume work on the Enhanced MS3.

One of the reason I'm doing this: it just takes too damn long to make these harnesses. So the time saved will go towards a better purpose. :)

Us peasants with mediocre soldering skills will continue to await the ECU of the Gods, so that one day Curly might not give us grief about not being Megasquirted.

FowlerMotorsports 05-14-2013 11:34 PM

Mediocre is a good word. Mine ends up like damn boulders when it's finished with.

Patiently waiting for the new MSLABS enhanced MS3. Good thing I did not know about this sooner. The timing is perfect for my new motor.

Rev: Can this guy tie into something like the Innovate Motorsports TC-4 serial connection? I ask because I have the opportunity to pick one up fairly cheap, but with no sensors. Trying to decide if its really worth the headache once the ECU gets here.

Also, any updates?

Feature wise, they will be the same.

The price for the Basic MS3 is still affordable, $699 for the Basic MS3 and $799 for the Basic MS3 with the knock and RTC module installed (its a single module).

Btw the Enhanced MS2 is still available.

I do not understand
because then my ms3 basic unit cost "755.12 Euros" = 1021.35 USD

I think it was that and pay with paypal. : (

Reverant 09-23-2013 02:57 AM

The price mentioned in the thread has gone up since June (the post you quoted was from March). That plus shipping and paypal fees.

terrorik 09-26-2013 08:44 PM

already received and installed my ms3

the question that I have is like light off "Immobilizer System Warning Light"

thanks

Reverant 09-27-2013 02:53 AM

The immobilizer light will blink when you install the MS3 on a 01+, as the Basic MS3 doesn't communicate with the stock immobilizer system. Only the Enhanced MS2 does, and it actually works.

Pull the gauge hood off, pull the gauges out and remove the bulb. Should take half an hour, tops.

A piece of black electrical tape over the bulb takes 30 seconds.

Reverant 09-27-2013 11:44 AM

You can pull the bulb off without pulling the cluster off either. Just take the hood off, and you can reach for the immobilizer bulb with your hand.
