Working on VVT, knock windowing and GPS support.

So this is why my megasquirt is taking so long to be built. :giggle:
This is going to be a pretty awesome setup. So many extra options versus a standard ms. I might have to upgrade, maybe next year once I have a built motor. |
Man I can't want for this thing :)

Just thought I'd check in and see how this project is going. We've got another MSM to start building up that really needs one of these... Glad to be a guinea pig if necessary ;)
Very interested. |
Oh come on Dimitris... no updates for days?
I am checking MT.net 5-times a day just to look for updates on that...! ;) |
I am focusing on the firmware of the updated Enhanced MS2. Remeber that the firmware used on the Enhanced MS2/MS3 will be based on this unit.

How about support for PLX devices widebands?
|
I can add it, depending on demand and if PLX actually gives me their comms protocol.
|
I am also interested in PLX DM-6 support. From what I can tell it has a 0-5v analog out, so I am confused as to what the issue is. If you just need a unit to test/iron out bugs, I would be happy to get one for you that you can send with the ECU to me when you are done.
Also do they not work with any megasquirt, or just your enhanced version? |
All widebands do work with my Enhanced (and all other) Megasquirts.
The point is to use the digital (serial) interfaces these widebands have to get a 100% accurate reading from the wideband, and/or status report (errors, etc). The last is especially useful if you are using closed loop fueling, so any screwup from the signal of the wideband will in turn make the ECU screw with the fuel. |

Just FYI B&G is working on their own wideband system that should integrate very well with MS. They are planning on having it give warnings and error codes that actually mean something.

Yes. Sadly, its been 8 years and still no PWC.
I talked to Bruce/Al about it at the megameet this past spring. He mentioned that it is still slowly being worked on. I should get in contact with him again, he mentioned possibly getting in to be a tester for it. |
PWC = Precision Wideband Controller

Any plans for a group buy in the near future?
|
Yes, as these boards and enclosures will be quite expensive, and I will need committed buyers to go ahead and order.
|
This must be what an Apple fanboi feels like before the release of the next iProduct.
When can we start lining up outside your house, Reverant? |
Call it Isquirt?
And i take it we gotta get sleeping bags and tents and shit to camp for a week? |
