of all the kits, that has the best manifold. the rest is still all a pile of ****. I do like the use of the external wastegate.

Has anyone noticed that there are china turbo being advertised as ball bearings turbos, particularly the GT28? I was browsing through since my turbo is starting to have a lot more play than usual, so Im searching for a replacement in the mean time.

I had an OBX GT28R ball bearing turbo and it lasted 5 minutes under 6psi of boost. The bearings just totally took a crap. Therefore, I personally wouldn't recommend a china ball bearing. On that note, the godspeed GT28 journal bearing turbo I'm running now is amazing.

I think a lot of them are advertised as ball bearing but are in fact completely journal bearing. I have also heard one case where the turbo had a ball bearing at one side of the CHRA and a journal at the other, but I never saw pics or anything. Sounds kinda strange.

I looked in the FM site and did not find individual manifold and down pipes ...

Also - noticed that on ebay there are no cast manifolds and down pipes sold together only the flimsy tubular ones.

Isn't that the kit that had an ad with the EWG duct-taped to the manifold because there's not actually a flange for it?

I screwed up my motor the first time I did it with band aids and a crappy setup. You get over it.
