What do you think Curly? Pressure tested it with rental from O'reilly. Dropped from 16PSI to 15PSI in about 15 minutes.

That wouldn't bother me at all. Did you use a bleed funnel or lift the nose when you bled the system? The triple-pass radiators are not easy to fully bleed.

aidandj 11-24-2016 01:21 AM

does it smoke after its warmed up?

A bleeder funnel is key to getting these bled. I've got one for a Miata engine.

Savington. Does the tse rad use a different cap?

If not come over this weekend and we can tune a bit and bleed your coolant.

The TSE radiator does use a different size cap. It is a Chevy cap or something. The standard yellow magic funnel should have the correct adapter to fit in. At least the funnel kit I got off Amazon does.

I lifted it the first time but I have since had the upperhose off twice trying to find a better fit. I have the perfect hose now.

I think you guys are right about air in the system but it runs well at least. Sunday work? I have been playing with the EBC and made a little progress but with all the rain even 3rd is sketch.

aidandj 11-24-2016 02:20 PM

Sunday should work

curly 11-24-2016 06:41 PM

1psi loss in 15 minutes could easily be attributed to a leak in the hose, gauge, pump, or the radiator adapter of the pressure tester itself, I wouldn't worry about leaks in the system.

I'd start look at bleeding like others have said. One of the bleeder funnels like this:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A6AS6LY...I2W6JPLELJ27KY

will have the proper adapter for whatever radiator/cap setup you have.

Yes, different cap. Anode caps are on our website or you can buy a cap for a ~2005 Dodge 2500 Cummins at any FLAPS that will fit.

aidandj 11-24-2016 08:17 PM

I'll check if I have the adapter for that one. Hope I do.

farpolemiddle 11-25-2016 12:50 AM

I jacked that fucker up as high as it would go and ran it through a few fan cycles topping it off. It didn't take much coolant. Maybe I got it. My overflow is not very big so that is part of it. Could be pushing more out than it can hold then sucking it up and running short.

farpolemiddle 11-25-2016 10:01 PM

Thought this was a great idea until I did it. It just looks a little over the top. Intake noise is about 10 times louder now. Sounds like a vacuum cleaner lives under my dash. I don't think it is going to last.

Yeah, the EFR is a liiiiiittle loud for that kind of routing :)

ridethecliche 11-26-2016 02:27 AM

I lolled at the vacuum cleaner comment.

I thought the MSM FM intake was loud, I can't imagine this thing. if anyone ever wants that "5,000hp supra turbo" sound, this is it

aidandj 11-26-2016 08:50 AM

Leave it in until tomorrow. I want to hear it.

curly 11-26-2016 11:15 AM

Turn that first coupler into a weld and it'll look a little better.

icantlearn 11-26-2016 11:28 AM

It took me a good 30min to fully bleed my TSE rad. At first I was like, there is no way this huge ass radiator only takes that much coolant, so I waited till the thermostat opened up and all was well.

I took my brother around the block in it. He is a WRX guy. He was like "I don't get what you mean. Sounds fine to me."

Good idea. I think the noise is just too much though. I also am not sure it will make much of a difference AIT wise.
