miataturbo.net-like debauchery thread (about the ND or something)
Seems overly complicated and rear vision seems like it would suck horribly. By the time I get to buying a ND these should be out and I will test drive one back to back with the soft top. But unless something massive changes I will still be getting the soft top.

It will likely be much quieter inside with the top up than the ragtop.
Not something I want, but I can see why people do.

Well this decision is harder than I thought it would be.
Will be waiting til these are out (or at least til pricing is announced) before ordering an ND after all. :/

I'm mostly concerned with cost, and the joint between the buttresses and the body. In the low-angle profile photos you can't see it, but in the higher angle profile photos you can see the seam and the line collides a bit with that stupid ******* crease on the quarter panel (the object of my ire on the softtop version).
Another huge concern is wind buffeting. My dad's Vette is undrivable with the t top off because of awful wind noise and buffeting.
Finally, the NC s with the top up weren't significantly quieter than the soft tops in my experience. We will see if this is different.

With a retractable rear window, and the rear buttress design, I believe it would be minimal.
Honest to god, my first thought was, "I wish they offered bolder colors." The top is 458 spyder, mMcLaren esq in its design, integration, and beauty
Also, 15 seconds from open to shut..... Compare that against any other manufacturers and mazda gets propcats again
