So for the record I can't run more than 33% boost duty post spool now without exceeding 20psi all the way through 7000. The new can is working.
Lars, your can is almost done, I should be sending out either Friday or Monday.

 

My my, your cans sure do seem to get around.

 

Lars' has slightly different construction, I used a valve stem section of an inner tube for the internal seal as well as the outer one(not pictured.). I also learned that mountain bike tubes work better than road bike tubes.

Next time I will incorporate another grommet and I may dispense with the piston altogether for 2 fender washers after seeing Aidan's pics.

I have a cool idea for a piston type can too.

As far as I can tell my cans are the only alternative to the $150 turbosmart dual port in existence, besides Bronson M's. I am no longer convinced that any of the other dual port internal wastegate cans are actually capable of holding the wastegate shut.

Yes, definitely​, silicone valve and faucet lube on both of the seals. Good stuff.

 

I need to mark my calendar, my car is actually clean today. No I am not gonna do clay bar, paint correction, ect... It will be lucky if I put a coat of wax on.

I seem to have accumulated a few pounds of leaves at the bottom of the fenders. What is the best way to get them out, do I need to remove the bottom bolts?

 

remove the bottom 2-3 fender liner clips/screws.
flush out with water
done

 

Great, thanks! That sounds way easier, I was trying to pull them out from the door jam. It wasn't happening.

 

Got the leaves out, that might improve my 60' time

I decided I can't run my feed line any longer. It definitely started to seep a little oil, it's​ getting to the point where if I don't deal with it, could be dangerous.
I can't fault the MKTURBO oil lines for this and my drain is still dry as can be. I twisted the line a little last time I had it off, and was expecting something like this. It actually failed very gradually and I had to run it for a few more days to see that it was actually leaking. Luckily, with the nice fittings Lars used I just need a piece of hose. I am having Lars send me a new one but I will try rebuilding this one as well.

 

Well the local hydraulic shop didn't have any of the nice aeroquip hose I wanted but he did make a hose that will work. Lars' hoses are a better deal and nicer, but he is 3000 miles away instead of 4.

This will at least allow me to run this Wednesday. I think I will order a 15' piece of the hose from jegs or something. I can make 4 replacements with one 15' piece. Should last many years.

What happened, blue sky and the sun is shining. I thought Brain was supposed to fly into town today, oh well, maybe only SF is socked in with fog. I do need to go to SF today if you are in town, I am happy to give you a ride in the MK-Foo Foo.

 

Didn't hear from Brain but Lars came through again. This replacement feed line was a deal. It's much nicer and less expensive than the one I had made locally.



You didn't need to give me another can. I will pry this one open and make it work properly, in case my second one has any​ issues. You make me wish I included the linkage parts, but they need to come off to fit in the bracket so I left them off. Oh well.

Another functional IWG can. This one uses 2 small grommets inside washers to seal the shaft and 2 smaller grommet to seal the bolts. It holds 40psi on the back side, no problem and I can barely move the shaft with 20psi on it. I will still add a valve stem section of an inner tube between the can and bracket, but this one doesn't seem to need it. Best can yet, I almost used the light spring in the picture but I decided anyone using this wouldn't mind 10psi base pressure.
