The Better Bilstein Ebay Coilover Thread
They've changed so many times, it's hard to tell.
Original posting was for the black sleeve/perches and blue springs combo. They were 450/325.
There were some red ones floating around at one point that were a 400/300 i think.
The Ebay set I bought (and never used) are the same wire diameter + coil spacing front/back so the rate would be the same. Good luck finding something with a the rate you actually want. Easier to just build from the parts lists using quality stuff. IMHO
I think i need to check mine to make sure i didn't put the sleeves on upside down. Mine are a LOT lower on the shock than anyone elses', and we only moved the circlip down about one inch.

Depends on your sleeves. Most of the Ebay ones don't slide down over the C-clip, they just sit on top of it. So you probably have the nicer sleeves that slide over the c-clips.
I do. I have Spec Miata/AllStar/CordyCord sleeves.
But mine sit a LOT lower than Bahurd's did. He had to cut his rear sleeves to get them to clear the top of the shock. I didn't cut mine, only moved the circlip down about an inch, and i'm WELL below the top of the body.

Front, sleeve to where the shock body begins to taper = 7"
Well... maybe i'm ok then. I'm pretty sure that's not a mistake i would have made, i just got a bit freaked out. I was going back through the thread and saw how much you had to cut off of yours to just get where yours ended up.
I didn't cut mine at all.
For reference again.

I can measure the sleeve length if you want.
Here's a potential source for revalving Bilsteins. Approximately $500 for a set of shocks only.
