They do fit; and they are a modified OEM design, not actually modified OEM ones like cut and welded. Fresh stamped steel.

I think two six motorsports makes some nice aluminum ones as well.

I also have the two six on my other car. They are a little taller than the maruha, fit with no modifications, but are not as nice as the maruha. They work though. If the maruha offer you enough height then they are the best value for the quality.

Just ordered all the parts for my setup. Thanks for all the information in this thread, very helpful.
I am using old crusty Hard-S Bilsteins from a 10th anniversary NB.
The bodies were pretty rusty, but the shafts look fine and they still have their nitrogen pressure.
I did notice the compression damping is quite a bit harder on the front compared to the back, but I suppose that is normal.
I will clean them up and repaint them, if they turn out to be junk I can always order new Bilsteins.
Standard bump stops look fine, so I will reuse those.

My shopping list at Summit Racing:
Ridetech 70010828 x4
Energy Suspension 9.6103G x2
All star ALL64162 x4
All star ALL64180 x4

And the rest of the stuff from D Faulkner springs:
2.5" 4lb 2" Helper springs x4
2.5" Aluminium spring seats x4
2.5" 550 lb 7" springs x2
2.5" 350 lb 7" springs x2

Being in Europe I limited the items ordered at Summit because of import tax and shipping.
Thanks to HarryB for posting the link to D Faulkner, that saved me a bit of money!
Also went with helper springs, because cars here fail inspection (APK in Dutch terms) if the springs come loose during full drop.

I will stay close to stock ride height, but even then I think it is an advantage to have extended top hats on the rear axle.
I am thinking of fabricating my own extended top hats, but the Maruha ones are quite tempting to just buy!

Yeah, saw those and had a chat with them yesterday (+1 for them responding to my facebook messages at 9pm on a sunday). That alone makes me want to buy from them, although I''m going to pull the shock assembly out during the week and measure everything out to see if the 1" buys me enough room in the rear. Seems straight forward enough.

Default Value of Bilstein Set up?

Team,

I just installed a set of V-Maxx in my NA and now have a set of NB Bilsteins that I am trying to set a fair price for, hoping that you can help.

- NB Hard-S Bilsteins and springs (estimated about 70K on them, Was told they were taken out at 60K and they were very clean)
- NB front hats, modified ISC rear hats (ICS modified to work with factory top hat bushings, studs converted to metric)
- Ohlins Micro-Cellular Bump Stops
- Micro-Cellular upper tophat bushings
- OEM Mazda Lower tophat bushings

I also have the threaded All Star sleeves, so someone would only need the collars and springs and they are all set to go.

Any recommendation on a fair price? (Sorry, I really won't be able to do 'sell them to me for $20')

I'll post pic tonight.

Thanks in advance everyone!

Jac

Buy the rest of the parts and sell them complete, I get 550 to 650 out of a ready to install set depending on how good of shape the shocks are in.

Anyone want to go in on a shipment of Maruha hats?

I'm putting together a setup following the basic recipe built on MSM shocks. I elected to go with 7" 450/300 springs. The 7" offerings in the spring rates I wanted were literally half the price of the same springs in 6", so here's hoping I can stay in the ~5" pinch weld range. I have ELBJ's & adjustable RUCA's, so I should have enough camber to play with as long as ride heights are sane.

That's gonna be a ton of work to save $2-3/pr. Their shipping prices are cheap.

How do you order Maruha hats? I cant find anything on their website, but that could be user error.

They aren't listed on the English side. You find part number/URL on the japanese side, then send them an email.

I sent them an email in English requesting a quote for parts & shipping. We'll see how far that gets me.

I heard back from Maruha already. Parts in stock, and was quoted ~$154 to ship 4 to Seattle area. PayPal payment. EZ PZ.

**Edit**
$165 PayPal. Fees? Dunno.

Since I'm being lazy, I might as well go all in. Do you have the part number?

Side note: the summit house brand springs very clearly used to have "QA1" stamped on them right next to the spring rating, but it has been wiped off. Exactly the same part? Returns? Looser tolerance? Who knows.

I'm pretty sure I've seen stroke length of 5" for MSM's referenced in this thread, but i just measured them and it ain't so. Here are the measurements I got:
Front: 100mm (3.94")
Rear: 122mm (4.8")
