The paint is just Maaco single stage brilliant black (PZ). Too many light sources in my garage make it look funky in the pics.

Another member came by last weekend and pulled my fenders 30mm with an angle grinder and sledge hammer. It turned out much better than I expected. Here are some pictures with the flares screwed on. The 15x10s with 245s fit great. I also tried 15x9s/225s on with 15mm worth of spacer ... the flares need 245 nt01s on 15x10s.

Dammit that is sexy. Well done, Mike. Glad they worked out as well as I thought they would.
FYI, Mike's fenders are Autokonexion GT-Widebody 40mm fronts and full-replacement 30mm rears. If you want to keep a factory-style nose, the 30mm "Blister" front fenders look like factory fenders, but provide enough clearance to run 15x10s. TSE is an Autokonexion dealer, so if you're interested in fenders to clear man-sized wheels, give us a call.

Those pictures don't show enough to figure out what's going to rub and where. I need to compress or remove the springs and jack up the car and get something more than a glamor shot. I'll ask around to see if someone has an old 275 A6 or R6 I can mount on a 15x10. I don't plan on running those tires, but I'm interesting in knowing what will fit.

245X580R15 =9.4” tread width
275/35/15 = 10.1” tread width
23.5X11R16 = 10.6” tread width
Very limited on growing tread width towards the inside. Much of the tread width difference has got to go out.
