Well the 15x9's are on. I don't see a need for spacers with FatCat Coils, plenty of clearance on the inside. Fenders will have to be rolled (obviously)

No- you're not alone. Surprised noone else has brought this up.

Got my 15x9 bronze wheels in last week and got them mounted up and took her for a spin today (about 30 miles).

No fender rolling necessary, love how these look. They're mounted on an NB2 with vmaxx xtremes track pack coilovers. Tires are 225/45/15 RS3's. Tires clear the fenders perfectly fine. The tire does show witness marks adjacent to the top hat on the inside of the wheel well in the fronts (I don't have fender liners, so I don't recall if this area is normally covered, regardless, it makes contact there).

The area of slightly more concern is the front lower A-arms (rear under side). This area seems to make contact with the 2nd radius (middle of three steps) adjacent to the wheel bore. In static state there is plenty of clearance (an inch?). I tried loading it up with the wheel up with the car in the air and it gets closer, but doesn't touch. So it must be dynamic loading near bumpstop territory thats creating contact. It has made contact 360 deg around the wheel right on the radius. Not more than 5 mils depth (0.005") though, so its really only surface damage. I was on some roads with some big dips today, so I don't expect it to make any further contact, but I'll likely see at auto-x tomorrow.

See photos attached. I took a grinding wheel to the A arm surface (just to touch off and take down the surface), hopefully creating enough clearance. If not I may have to look into spacing them out.

Otherwise I'm super happy with the wheels- well made and look great!

Looks awesome, thanks for sharing.

I probably should have bought this, but #949sackrider

Is there going to be a redesign/rerun of these? Because the wheels look amazing, but I wonder if they are going to get the weight back down.

If they do come back with the lighter weight, expect the price to go up.

We have discovered that the 15x8 don't clear factory Sport braces without a low profile banjo bolt - same as with the TRM wheels. Easy fix, just use a low profile banjo like the one we sell. I suspect that most stainless brake lines come with the lower profile bolt as well, I know ours do.

Hrmmm... should i measure mine to see if the +36mm offset spec is actually correct?

Yours look kindof sunken in the rear, which is surprising to me.

Hmm what do you mean sunken?

side note took them to autox this weekend. One side left another mark after I coated the a arms with paint. I think since it's only one side this time it might be at full or close to full lock when I was getting around my other car in my driveway.

The only rubbing I felt and found at autox was on the top of the wheel well. Which is surprising too. Otherwise, the lips are fine.

See some photos from autox with the wheels.

I mean they almost look like the offset is higher than 36mm in the back.

Is the rubbing enough to cause concern? I rarely rarely hit full lock in my cars.

I was only at full lock because I parked too close to the garage and had to shimmy my way out with the miata. Sucks with no PS ha.

The rubbing in the wheel well doesn't seem too bad, I'll keep an eye on it and report back as necessary.

If i go full lock i'll take HUNKS out of the wheel. Mine is no minor rub, I don't even know where full lock is anymore.

Just did a track day on these. No rubbing to report.
it's probably worth mentioning that it looks like Erat is running stock springs. Maybe he'll chime in with how many of his issues are due to that.
Looks so good my paint fell off

These photos are with no spacers, my rears are rolled flat and slightly pulled, fronts have a mild roll.

These photos are with spacers, 5mm in the front and 15 mm in the back. I was experiencing bad rub on the LCA in the front. I was actually loosing some lock in the steering wheel due to how bad they were hitting. I tried grinding it but I wasn't comfortable taking any more material and it was still rubbing like mad. 5mm spacer in the front solved most of the rub and gave me back some much needed steering lock. Now it only rubs on the LCA if I'm being belligerent on the wheel. *note* I also was planning on raising the front of the car so the fronts are about 1 inch higher in these pics.
