There have been some delays. May sometime, that's all I know.

 

I found them!

 

One day in the far far future explorers are going to find that container sitting at the bottom of the ocean. Upon opening it they will find the Jongbloed rims and marvel at them. They will be highly sought after as a rare antiquity. Then scientists will start trying to figure out what they are for, and then say how primitive we were for having to use wheels on cars to get us around, instead of just teleporting to where we want to be.

 

Right about the time they're analyzing my skeleton (which will still be awaiting the wheels) with all the titanium bits. I wonder if they'll put two and two together?

 

I was really hoping to run my Hoosiers on May 11 event. Doesn't look like that is happening :(

 

Oh jeez I hope May doesn't become June in a few more weeks...

 

Guys, I gave up my position in the group buy yesterday. I couldn't wait any longer. So, that's 4 more wheels that will be available when they do show up (15x9 black). If you like these and can wait it out . . . opportunity.

 

So, what did you end up ordering?

 

I got a set of those new Advanti Storms from Goodwin (TireRack has them too). I just couldn't argue with a 15x9 that weighs 12.2 pounds, costs $140 and is in stock.

 

Nice of you to post this here and neglect to contact your customers with this information.

I wish I had some news. But I do not. I apologize for that. All I know is that (obviously) April isn't going to happen. On the 27th, I was in the middle of a week-long road trip out to Atlanta, dodging tornadoes. While it would have been ideal to contact all those in the group buy, it wasn't possible.

It's been a rough ride for us as well. Not everything has been under our control - we didn't set the pricing, for example, and the change in MSRP after the group buy was over was a surprise. I will take credit for the bronze color, though We're at the end of the line when it comes to information. We're sharing what we can, when we get it - but it's a slow drip for us.

Of course, we haven't charged anyone a penny for these yet. We've put down quite a bit of our own money, but it's only our money that we're gambling. If you want to abandon ship and go with a different option, just call and let us know.

 

Update: no good news. Now we're expecting them in mid July. Nobody here is excited about that to put it mildly.

We will be contacting everyone who's preordered these. Luckily, we can provide the Advanti Storm S1 in 15x7 or 15x8 immediately.

 

Thankfully I picked up a BNIB set of 15x8 6ULs to tide me over until the Jongbloed 15x9s show up!
