What kind of temperatures are they exposed to when they're shipped from overseas? I know Hankooks ship from Korea, Thailand for Maxxis?

Source: I work in the construction industry and ship wood products from china often... we have to monitor the conditions in the containers to control swell/warp. So I have many datas because the cost savings of traditional containers vs climate controlled is significant. |

edit: Having driven them finally, I can tell you they will make many peoples very happiness
Most people I've spoken with have been pleasantly surprised at how well the VR-1's perform. They're really good right out of the box, but I think they'll get even better as people figure out how to optimize their set-up for the tire. BTW, the 245/40ZR15's are back in stock. They'll be available on the website tomorrow. |
For those on backorder does that mean our order(s) will be shipping soon? I ordered 4/4 and was advised they'd likely ship sometime between the 18th and 22nd. Excited to see them in person :}

Is the stock coming back anytime soon on the sizes that ran out as fast as possible?

I have an RC-1 on my car, and they've been out as low as 35-40*. Still, when we had them on the track, my coach was loving the grip levels, so I don't know how much they were affected. They are also not really "soft" slicks so...i dunno if that's worth anything

Think you could toss a GoPro on for a few of those laps with the 245s Sav?
|
would 245/40 even be worth fitting to 8.25s? I have 225's that I am going to fit but am now reconsidering.
|
8.25s? :ugh:
What wheels are those? |

What wheels are those? Linked' below; ULTRALITE UL12 15" x 8.25J ET20 4x100 4x114.3 MATT BRONZE ALLOY WHEELS Y3017 | eBay - Doubt I would invest in tires for a no name wheel (At least to me, honestly never heard of them) but I mean - they may surprise me enough to consider. At this point I don't know if I should just go with a 15x9 set up instead. EDIT: http://www.ultralitewheels.com/ - linked website if anyone wants to tangent on own terms. |
