It's gone, or else I would of bought it. Search "wall mount shop vac" on amazon. Plenty of options from $99-$500.

My dad has a backpack shop vac. It can hang up on a hook, has cord management and a place to clip the hose. I want it.

What's the worst that can happen?

My roomba terrifies the dogs. Cats couldn't care less.

So I've been borrowing yanks 6 ton jack stands for the trans swap. And I'm buying some for myself today. I don't need 6 tons of support but the 9x9 base gives so much more stability that my shitty vatozone ones never could.

<br />50 a pair on amazon. Not bad.

*** dat. How do you get under the car? From the front? No way. Also the size needed to support my truck is way too expensive.

You can actually use them sideways if you must. 2 minutes from pulling the car in to wrenching is very nice, let me tell ya.

I don't.

Side bar: my dad bought the harbor freight 2 post in 2005. I think we got for under 2k delivered. We used it until 2010 at our shop until he sold the shop. It's still there and kicking along with the lead screw one from 1874 that we bought from some other shop that was closing in 06. I wonder what they cost now.

I enjoyed Revlimiters multiple posts on jackstands, I thus bought the ESCO stands. No ragrets.

He needs to do one about jacks next.

I read that too. Most were too expensive. You gotta see these things, they are huge. We were yanking on the transmission and **** and the car did fine.

2 post wasn't really an option. By the time I cut the floor, installed pads (concrete + rebar) and anchors, I was way above what I wanted to spend. And, garage is low, so that limited options, too.

Finally, it was the portability that won me over. Work outside in the summer, inside in the winter. Take to a buddy's place if I want, too.
