That's about exactly how they should be. Now test them for continuity while you wiggle them.

How is that the right length. I have to squish them way below the top of the valve cover.

I really like how he's trying to figure out some issue with his newly running car, and we are all like, not helping and just talking about da drinks!

Ok I've got something weird going on. VVT is getting "stuck". Not just the actual angle, but the target is getting stuck.

Log is attached.

Here are my VVT settings. Is your VVT on the same circuit as idle valve?

Latest racepak update. I now have a warning that turns on for high egt or knock. "LIFT" warning.

Another update. I've been wanting to have a knock warning on the racepak. But the only signal I could find was knock in. Which is in %. And that varies depending on RPM. Then Brain pointed me to the ECU Status bitfields. So I can transmit status7, and if it equals 16 then we have knock indicated.

Here is the racepak setup. When knock is detected the output will be 16. So setup your warning so that it warns when it equals 16.

No bitwise OR operator in the config? Lame.

Racepak software is very basic. And buggy and annoying. This is a victory. Trust me.

That was my main complaint about Racepak. Kudos to you for doing this cool development. Every now and then I have regrets of selling it, so I'm hoping the Pi dash works haha.

I like the physical display, I wish I could run my own software on it.

Programmable on/off outputs.

Status7 And 16 should work.

New coils do not seem to have fixed it. Managed to break a plug wire too, so jerry rigged a stock wire to work in its place.

Got a bunch of data about the VVT issue.

Megasquirt Support Forum (MSEXTRA) ? VVT Issues (View topic)

I need the issue to become repeatable so I can trace it. Currently its such a tossup on whether or not it will happen.

Working on getting a new harness to try out. And maybe some known working plug wires if anyone has some they could spare.
