Cspence's Build Thread
I try not to think of how many guns I sold off to feed this addiction since last fall. Gotta be in the 10K range from tires to turbo... and the track weekends aren't cheap either! I feel to complete the build I need a GTC200 and splitter.... and a Racepac IQ3, BBK, paintjob, a real car hauler, on and on...

Well, I finally got sick and tired of worrying about when its going to rain and if I can drive my car..... so I started working on the drop in door windows for my gutted doors. I was going to make an elaborate bracket at work to hold the window in place, but then I thought about it decided to go the kiss method (keep it simple stupid). It ended up being much easier than I though, 2 "j" clips and some foam seal. I'm actually quite surprised at how well the window stays in place too....I had envisioned the window flying out during driving, but it feels quite rigid. On to the passenger side tomorrow night, then no more worrying about rain

Stock glass just without all the hardware thats normally mounted on there...I figured it'd be easier than trying to cut and form plexi or polycarbonate
If I had the facility to do so...
I had to call in a favor to use a "real garage" to do mine

Finished the passenger side....I should have done this a LONG time ago just like learning MS....o well, I'm doing both now. I took a few more pictures to post so people down the road have something to reference if they are undertaking the same project. Well worth the $11 it cost me to do it

Holy crap you don't cut yourself on the doors? That's why I kept the door cards on. Cardboard wrapped in thin vinyl, and it keeps me from having to deal with the ickky tar.
