How much money are you guys spending on your projectors/bixenons?

I would LOVE to get rid of the annoying intrusion of the headlight motors. I'm really frustrated when it comes to my CAI because I have no room to put the MAF and filter in and still collect air behind the headlight motor. I'm going to have to put my CAI behind the radiator (now a HAI) due to manifold/turbo placement being up to high and too far forward.

I have the same problem with my turbo placement, but I am working on a solution. I don't have a MAF, but it might work with one. Keep an eye out for a thread on my solution in the next couple weeks.

Cool, will do, thanks!

In the meantime, how much weight do you guys think is saved when you replace the factory headlights/motors w/ the projectors? Just curious.

You can pick up a nice complete set; bulbs / ballasts / projectors for like $200 if you shop around on ebay...So you going to take the plunge?!

Like you, I definitly have a HAI right now....my bay gets smokin hot after a good long run, as I'm sure everyone's does. Hoping that setting up this scoop solves that issue....

As for weight savings, probably just a few pounds...although for me, 0, since I didn't have the flip ups from the get go...

I was thinking yesterday that I'd look for the smallest housings I could slip the projector set up into. Small enough it could be refit into the turn signal opening. It would require some cutting of the opening but with the right housing it might look OK. Just have to find what cars have oem light housings that might be appropriate for trying this.

Dawnmsn was the person I bought them from....They had stainless, aluminized, and plain mild steel in many various sizes, 2.25 / 2.5 / 3 / 3.5.....This seller sets up different lots and the lot I wanted b/c it had the bends I was looking for, happened to be just mild steel, 3" of coarse. I'll poke around and see what I can find for ya!

I vote for the one you have right there in the car.

Well now that you have a few extras... you can put one of those in a box and ship one to my place. Those things are sweet.

For anyone wishing to go this build route (the HIDs)... I have a retrofit "package" for sale.
