Fae says he is driving his car around with the dump pipe just shooting hot air into the intake. I told him just to go dyno. My money is on he still does not dyno.

Is he doing anything else to ensure that the engine blows up before dynoing? I haven't heard about him flat-shifting in a while for example...

I recommend 87 octane gas with 35* of spark advance at 30PSI and 5000rpm!

No hes gotta schedule a dyno run first before he starts braking stuff.

After reading a lot of this thread. I don't want to miata anymore.


Tell me honestly, is this guy the only exception? Or does everyone have this many problems? Or is it just the half ***, crappy ways of his doing that gets him into trouble? He seems to be smart, and know much more than me but for some reason it does not help.

Fae certainly exacerbates a lot of issues, but if you're not willing to accept that some random crap is going to happen when modifying a car you're better off never touching any vehicle. I've definitely had my fair share of WWFFD moments, and it's certainly not isolated to any one make or model.
