My WI/meth injection woes continue. All was fine for two days but today I see the rig acting up again. When triggered, the pump comes on for a second, turns off, then comes on again. This is not good.

I think the issue is the pump relay. I opened it up and it looked ok but that is the only thing other than the circuit board that could be messing with the pump going on/off. With the relay opened up, I pushed the little flapper and the pump turned on and off instantly. I have a spare relay I will test with tomorrow (was originally for my fuel pump wiring upgrade).

ARTech says my new hotside will be ready in 2-3 weeks. Yay!

So to prep, this week I will take my car off the road and begin working on my new new new fuel system. Fuel system round 3. The plan is to order another bosch pump and run an AN line in parallel with the factory line to the bay and tee them together. Yes I could run one -8 but I ordered -6 everything so **** it. This will work just fine and flow more overall. Return will be -6. I can't let my turbo down by running out of fuel on the dyno.

In other news my K&N air filter ripped apart at the flange and fell off so it is indeed a good time to take car off the road. **** off and die K&N, I just oiled you, you recalcitrant shrew.

Nice progress. I thought about adding some meth eventually so im kinda curious to see how this all turns out. Are you going to try something different for an air filter now?

Here's a link to a thread I started about MAP latency. I am linking to it since it's about my build and concerns "high boost" (not evo levels of boost!) tuning.

Mines now starting to stray from set psi. It was at 35psi today when I had it set to 42psi last week.... after I popped the hood to see it at 50 psi from the 42 I had it set to originally. Its wreaking havoc on my STFT's and LTFT's. At least I know why it was at 13.6AFR this morning from the 12.6-12.8 it was sat at. This is the long way of telling you and everyone else you were right. Fuel lab FPR has been ordered.

why not run the oem feed to one endof the rail and the -6 to the other end of the rail (think, dual feed rail)

Then just run your return off a port between 2 and 3! Easy peasy and you have it working well like that.

I thought about that... I am not sure that there is enough space to do a center return. I will check though, thanks.

I was seeing light pinging in my midrange and of course I was like **** I BLEW MY MOTOR. The knocklite actually let me know stuff was going on. Yay knocklite.

BUT I spent some time driving today and I was able to tune it out by taking out like 4* of timing. That means I got "bad gas" or accidentally put 89octane in the car. Most of the time I use the exact same gas station and gas pump. ????

In other news my WI system is now working as it should. I had to wire in a ballast resistor between the high speed valve and the circuit board. I also replaced the relay. The **** actually comes on right quickly now FTW. I reloaded my non-retarded timing map and the ping mostly went away which means that the WI is doing what it should- providing det resistance. Neat. At 100% duty cycle I am still only seeing about 1-1.5 points richer AFR which means more nozzle needed. Since my engine is not blow, I am ordering the parts now for more nuzzles.

Ordered another 044.

Good ******* lord summitracings website is awesome. The search feature is amazing and the ability to narrow results by context specific criteria is absolutely unreal. Amazon should do a case study on their site.

Couldn't you just rev your engine and thus make your new cool water thingie work?

If I set up the 3D map that way, yes. X axis is RPM, Y axis is boost, Z axis is high speed valve (which controls flow) duty cycle.

I have it set to flow 100% at around 15psi. It ramps into that starting at 0psi. I am actually spraying a lot of fluid. In this crappy gas tank, so far, I have had to already put two gallons of juice in. OH and for anyone interested in WI, "PEAK -20" washer fluid is 33% methanol. I was surprised how much meth was in there when I read the MSDS.
