The aluminum pan comes on the Mazda FE3s right? I need to source on of these and start over.

Neither of my Mazda FE3s had aluminum pans. I've got a spare block, so I'm hoping that the steel pan will stay flat if it's fully bolted down to the block when I weld it up.

 

Guess not all JDM FE3's were alum then, the steel is so thin that no matter what you do its going to warp like a bastard. I'd just get a gasket from kia get a flange cut from aluminium and start from there if I had to do it over.

 

Anyone know what happened to this? Sorry for necro posting but FE3 miatas seem pretty rare.

 

He has this project back burnered for now. I've seen him on Facebook running around in a spec class NB.
