Are there any other brackets i should be looking at for cheaper? Would using Ebay brackets result in the drowning of many kittens?

Just my opinion but those $50 ones would be fine. Even made of crappy chinese steel, it's like .25" thick It. will be WAY stronger than the flimsy .050"(ish) stuff the oem rails mount with. The only thing I would say is if you feel like you want to weld 2 straps across once you know the spacing to make it into 1 piece, that would make it better. eBay fit and finish is always a concern of course...

No. :( Not yet. :(

I'm perfectly willing to sit on it and get a Blackbird spoiler in the meantime to put on my spare trunk, though.

These would be attached to stock sliders in some way. (Bolted or welded, i suppose) Both wife and i will be driving this car, so sliders are necessity. Doesn't look like it'll be hard to do.

The sliders will probably be the weak point. The only thing though... All the slots are vertical, not sure it would be able to bolt up to every possible seat. Might need to get a little more creative with a drill.

I think they're actually displaying them incorrectly. They should be sitting like the Planted ones, which makes it a bit easier. The slots would actually be horizontal.

Have you considered dropping a little more coin on the drivers side and ordering something like the Garagestar rails?

I just ordered one last week for my new Racetech's and can report back to you. It seems like the most elegant way to have some adjustability and keep the seat low.

I have, but the GarageStar rails don't have the easy sliding that my proposed option will. Tools and some cursing will be involved to adjust the seat with Kenjo's setup.

Acceptable if it's a "Hey Honey, go ahead and drive the Miata this week while i fix your Jeep." Not so much if we're hot-lapping it at a local autox event.

Not yet. Been too lazy to swap the hardware on yet. I'm going with my hopes and dreams that the Centric hardware does actually work, despite looking nothing like stock.

Anyways, cleaned up the biohazard and made it not stink anymore. Did the hard part of the interior swap.

And then of course, because i'm unable to buy a Miata without some wiring fuckery, i got to remove a keyless entry setup, which seems to have only been installed because the PO lost one of the OEM key fobs, and decided that badly installing a shitty keyless entry system was a better option than paying to have Mazda program a new fob? Not sure. But i hate him for it.

Got some beef. It's what's for dinner. Currently making my Jeep smell really good. Especially when combined with a "Margarita" flavored/scented Little Tree. Man smells. Corky Bell would be proud.

Swank Force Racing Zyduhz. PM me for best forum pricing.

Interior swap is mostly done. Need to cut down some Eclipse vents to throw in the holes, make my door panels, and get some accordian pins for the rear carpets. Installed the passenger airbag blockoff plate. Wasn't as nice of a part as i expected. Next time i'll make my own. That said, it's crazy how heavy that airbag was, so i'm glad it's gone.

Mocked up seats. They're going to fit just fine.

Exhaust came in yesterday. The Magnaflow is huge and heavy. Will probably run the loud and light configuration most of the time. Because BWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Nice seats. Cobra lists them @ 20" at the bottom outside. How wide inside at the bottom (hip room)?

They're actually a little big for me. I'm probably only going to run them for a year or two then move them to the MX6. Sparco Sprints are a better fit for me.

I can measure them tonite if i remember. I have a 32" waist and i'm not super snug in these in that area.

Ha... It's been a long time since I've seen a pair of 32" pants. 38" for me.

These would probably fit you snugly.

If you buy a set, i'd suggest doing a Keith Tanner-style bottom memory foam pad. These things are damn near perfectly flat on bottom with like... a quarter inch of padding, it feels like. I'm going to have to do something about it before i drive this thing down to MATG.

The other muffler, is that just an exhaust shop special cherry bomb type? I'm gonna start with my catless DP, but was wondering what the difference would be going to an el cheapo cherrybomb in place of the factory muffler. Just cut one out, weld the other in...

I don't think so. This was all made by Hytech. I don't remember exactly what that stuff was.

It's the NB setup from this thread: https://www.miataturbo.net/miata-par...onators-83594/

For sure... If you think of it, measure the clearance on both sides of the seat with the door closed. I'm thinking of the next bigger seat and would like some idea how much bigger I can fit in.

I think I remember 21" being maxed out.

I need to mount these first for real before i can take measurements like that. Those were literally just sitting on the floor with no sliders or brackets for those pictures. Too low for me actually.
