Savington, that Makes sense ^^^. I hesitated to throw out names, but in the end, this seems to shed some light on the matter. No ill words towards anyone...except my run in with FM. that was just lazy.

Begi charged me $22 to ship a DIY re-route kit once. Everything but the hose.

Everything was thrown loose in a $5.65 flat rate box compliments of Stephanie.

Did they at least get all the parts you bought in the box?

Not sure. I ended up cannibalizing most of the parts to use with a Skou spacer that didn't fit.

So... GGs all around.

What does BFW stand for?

I once got hoses from treasure coast miata in a dunkin donuts box. That had me scratching my head a little.

I understand why some folks charge a 'handling' fee. Packaging materials aren't free and it takes time to put stuff together. But if you're going to charge a few bucks surcharge on items, then have the decency to pack it worth a damn.
There are also some vendors that seem to use the most expensive default shipping method. So if you order 10 dollars worth of fittings, it's going to be 17 bucks, no matter what. Even though they'd fit in a padded envelope that would ship across the country for a fiver.

I've brought this up with some of them before. They have contracts. Its the issue. 1 couldn't ship USPS because of their contract (GM car parts supplier, I was mad I had to wait a week for UPS and spend $28 in shipping on something that would have fit a medium flat rate box). And when I wanted to return parts to mazda motorsports when they put the wrong parts in the box they said not to bother because they literally could not create a shipping label with UPS for under $12.

Anyone else have issues with V8 Roadsters and long shipping/delivery times? My first order with them took almost 6 weeks to show up, and was sent to incorrect location first. (few hours north of me, which i suspect increased shipping cost.) No apology for the delay or error given.

Now my second order was going to be taking over a week for something presumably in stock and most definitely not made-to-order. Checked tracking number today, and it's being sent to wrong location AGAIN.

Tried to contact, offices closed until 6/21.

You'd think there would be a little more timely processing/shipping/order fulfillment if we're talking about thousands of dollars being spent in a couple months, and maybe a little care in shipping things to the right place.

V8R is a small operation with some fabrication and coatings subbed out to shops, like professional powder coating, etc. Shandelle is a really nice, generous guy and if he's aware of a problem he will help. He tends to handle shipping personally to check things before they leave. Sometimes there are delays if he and his guys are doing r&d at a track somewhere or doing development work like the BMW trans kits with K Miata when they went to Chicago for a week.

Yeah i get that not everything is off the shelf and all that, but maybe communicate on the front end if it's not, and i'm still having problems braining how the same exact shipping mistake was made twice. It's not on my end, even my receipts from V8R show the correct address.

The parts will still get here in time, but it's going to give me pause in the future at this point if i have to order something in a pinch.

I'll still keep buying from him, i sortof have to. He's the only game in town for what i'm buying.

Got some goodies. Should be rocking by first half of July if all goes well. Then Road Atlanta first week in August.

Typ200? Didn't we determine that would make your car explode?

I think that was actually the ooilooood brake rotors.

We determined that my car would be just fine with 1.6 brakes with the level of power it makes once the amount of tire and coming downforce is factored in.
