Last few parts are trickling in. Waiting on ELBJs from Emilio, 22 assorted nuts and bolts from Mazda, 850/500 Hyperco springs, and i think that's about it. Dropping off the new-to-me used lower control arms and rear uprights to be powdercoated on wednesday, finish up and get rid of the KL Protege i'm working on this weekend, then it's time to thrash.
Got a package from SadFAB. Complete with dickfetti and MLP wrapping paper. Win.

And got these after a conversation some of us had. Decided i didn't like the idea of E-bolts as a fairly short lived wear item so i bought these.

Yerp will do.
Got another couple things.
Replacement nuts/bolts for all the hardware i thought looked slightly dirty under the car. Safety wire (waiting on pliers still, sigh...), and some ELBJs because i love two things: 1) 37.21* of caster and 2) Paying $18 to ship stuff that fits in a small flat rate. Seriously what is going on with everyone? Packing job was done in appropriately-sized box though, so props for that.

Curly and I today could not figure out how to get the locking bolts to work with real world RASEKAR amounts of camber. **** just wanted to move around too much. Very interested in your experience.

My car has ELBJ, V8R lower arms, V8R upper arms.
If this causes your rainbow unicorn party to suddenly suffer a massive cardiac event, and or an aneurysm, please provide video of said event.

Damn.
I recently ordered a set of hubs from Parts.com (cheapest OE parts, when you let your MS membership lapse, due to lack ofsister kissing autocrossing), and they charged me $38 shipping for the courtesy of dumping them loosely in a box, so they could destroy each other on the way here. MS has been hit or miss on shipping for me. I recall a $21 shipping charge for a set of front brake pads, for example.

Supposedly.
The last time I called about using track days, the guy told me I have to provide published results, meaning a time trial or W2W event. Actually, providing any proof of track days is hard for me, because I either respond to an instructor call email or go on a member day. Neither of those have any sort of documentation associated with them.

Fun Fact: I exchanged a bunch of emails with Rick Weldon a couple months ago and going forward, the confirmation email for future Miatas@MRLS events will be tailored to meet MMD membership requirements.

Couple more things came in, i worked on a thing, i injured myself.
But first a serious and important question, for real: I installed V8R 5mm spacers because the internet told me i'd need them with my 2.5" spring setup and 15x10 +25s. WITH the spacers installed, i have about 3 city blocks of room in the back (as expected) and a touch more than a thumb-width (widest point, at knuckle) up front. If i remove spacers, i will have a touch under thumb width space with car at rest on the ground. Is this enough do we think? If i can run without spacers, that would be pretty cool. I'm not expecting a 100% without fail answer, since i know clearances will change under compression and lock-to-lock, this just seems like a LOT more clearance than The Internet led me to believe i'd have.
ALSO: Since i have V8R X-Lite uppers, and ELBJs, i could probably just adjust those for clearance in lieu of using spacers anyways, right?
I know these are things best answered by myself, but i'm on a time crunch and working on the car is fairly painful right now, so if i have a better chance in getting it right the first time by asking you guys, i'd rather do that.
On to the pictures:
850/500 Hypercos. Wow such stiffness.
20170707_162816 by concealer404, on Flickr
Milbar reversible safety wire pliers. Because Andrew said so.
20170707_121358 by concealer404, on Flickr
Golf ball sized hematoma. Because full hammer swing at a pickle fork to remove LBJ. And missed.
