Damn that thing is yellow.
I've been interested in the Marrad for a while, but they are obviously selling them for Corvette owners not Miata owners based solely on the price point. Related: I lurve talking to the Corvette guys at track days when they start whining/bragging about the cost of consumables. Reminds me why I own a Miata

Yeah I always liked the Marrads. I actually don't mind the z06 seats: sure the control mechanisms are archaic, and the way the seat back is floppy and has like 3 inches of movement even when it's "locked in place" is really stupid, but the actual feel of the seat is plenty supportive for daily and even spirited driving.
I never really expected much from a chevy interior, and am not too much into that anyway, so I guess I was never really surprised by it.
My biggest gripe about this one thus far, is the shifter. My biggest gripe about the previous one, was the autotragic trans. That thing was out of this world bad.
It's a trip driving the vette and miata back to back. Such a different feeling, the miata feels SOO nimble and tight and tossable in comparison.
I ACTUALLY prefer the feel of the miata
btw: we just did a photoshoot of both cars, pictures incoming

Also the MSM runs on MS-Pro now

My favorite mod on my f body was a hurst shifter. Not sure what the go to shifter is on a z06? The hurst comp shifter had positive stops and the right tension. When engaging hooligan mode, i could literally bang gears as hard and as fast as i could. Great upgrade on the t56.
warning!!! LOTS OF PICS INCOMING

That was a double post, right? If not let me know.
Both look good. So are you keeping both? Seems like with a little power boost from the MS, you'll enjoy MSM more than the Vette.

Thanks. Yeah site was buggy and doubled that post I guess.
I'm keeping both for now. The vette won't stay long term, more just to enjoy for now. I call it my "spring fling".
Miata plans are long term (so more than a year
) the subaru plans are really long term (so more than a couple years
)
Last one of the MSM

Love the MSM. Just 3 things:
Needs moar black pinch welds.
Needs MOAR meat.
Needs less teethy things in front of the intercooler.
Still love it. I found myself ignoring the 'vette as best I could in the photos lol

There were pictures of a Chevrolet in there?

The pinch weld comment I completely agree with, been thinking about that myself.
The meat, well that's not changing since those tires are brand new.
The teeth and intercooler - I plan to spray both black later when the intercooler gets worn a bit
I forgot to mention: I installed the Mitsu air vents too just like a lot of folks lately
so far: LIKE! definitely helps quite a bit and simple/easy to do.
Ok now a question:
I had a Pioneer single din left from my white miata. It had everything I ever needed:
manual/analog dial **** for volume control (hate buttons, love dials)
red lighting to match the NB2 interior lights
Clear and Crisp output
USB input on the face for a memory stick
It appears to have borked
cause it's not working in the msm.
So I need new one. ANyone got suggestions?
I REALLY do not need anything fancy, and the cheaper it is the better, as I hardly ever even use it (turbo noises are music to my ears
)
I'm half tempted to find another same one, it was like $130 new, but I bet there's other stuff just as good that's possibly even cheaper these days.
*edit: browsing crutchfield and there are so many reasonably priced options, but now I'm not even sure which to get lol, so many to pick from

Also I tested voltage from the spearker wires coming out of the HU, and there is none.
It powers on fine, it operates fine, and literally the only thing is NO SOUND.
I guess I can go to Wally-World and buy a cheapie just to test this out.
meh. pretty sure I'll just pull the trigger on the above posted JVC or something comparable. After seeing all the options on crutchfield and such, I am now adding another requirement: simplicity...lol
