I think if you remove the radiator (and a/c condenser if so equipped) you should be able to pull the pulley off the alternator with it in the car with a lot of cussing. Or you could just undo 2 bolts, 1 brass nut, and 1 electrical connector and pull the alternator.

Probably gonna have to pull it. Have you taken a straight edge to verify with 100% certainty that they are misaligned?

I have 3 jaw pullers if you need one.

Do you have a long enough straight edge that you can put it across the faces of the pulleys to check alignment?

Remove radiator so you can fit an impact gun in there? The last time I had to do this, impact was the only solution that worked for me.

I don't have a good reference for the straight edge test. I'll check again later. This belt had roughly 10 track days on it, I wonder if it simply shat itself and there is no real problem. The car did 150 laps this weekend alone.

I'd rather remove the alternator than the radiator.

If I am reading this correctly, it sounds like the damper sticks out just a tad from the alternator? Make sure your damper is pressed on correctly. It is possible that it needs to go further in. Check to see if all bolts on the damper are tight.

That is just a hunch. Hope it helps.

I addressed that earlier, it's flush with the back of the crank pulley boss. I looked at it again with the straight edge and although I'm not certain, I believe things are lined-up correctly. It appears there was some rubbing on the belt, most likely the radiator fan that broke-off on track this weekend. I put on a new belt, drove the car around and the belt stayed in place. I think all is well.

Oh, ok. Glad to hear all is well.

Are you tracking this car regularly now?

Always have been. I think I've been to the track 11 times since April. Going again this weekend to crush.

Okay, so maybe the car looks great on the silver wheels after-all:

It looks pretty good, but I have to say I was partial to the black on green.

Did you install the hood latches? How do you like them?

Next June will be devestating. Now, for the first time since our time together, I'm running TWS and expect more dirty.

Jeff's GF made this for my car:

TTD lap record attained at TWS on old RS-3 with room for Hoosier R6? ECR is next.
