Because that's what I have and I didn't want sport brakes. Il do wilwoods up front with 1.8 rotors and 1.8 brakes out back once the need arises but we will see how far I can go on stock 1.6 stuff with ducting.
Glad you like the ducts! They will be available from Good-Win Racing and Trackspeed Engineering shortly, full production is starting on them this week, so I'll be doing a formal announcement for them once they hit those guys' shelves
Keep us updated!
Yep and as soon as you start braking deeper I predict those 1.6 brakes will be taxed a lot more. We were just doing testing last weekend and the difference between leaving a little time on the table in the brake zones vs. diving in and really using everything the brakes had to offer was literally hundreds of degrees in average rotor and caliper temps.

Surprisingly the stock 1.6 brakes didn't fade whatsoever despite the extra power that Lazarus had even in 90 degree ambient. This means I can start braking later as I was braking 100+ yards earlier in some spots compared to before.
These ducts will come in handy soon enough, hope to have them installed by BMW club on the 18th.

I did 125 on the back straight with neo gens, shitty brakes, and probably less power.
Laz was also doing 125 (this is all gps verified with an aim solo), with r-comps, good brakes, and more experience lately. He was definitely lifting and coasting on even his fastest laps.

yeah, Im excited to see what the car can really do, I haven't looked through all the data yet to see if there were any laps with higher peak speeds
spent this session weaving through traffic and slowing down to try and find a gap.

Yeah, no question. On his 1.28 lap with me in the car, he was coasting bigtime.
Edit: Do you have any video that shows me desperately trying to stay inside the car around corners?

Again, I don't know the track or car (outside of this thread) so take all that with a grain of salt
Every dance partner has a rhythm - just keep stepping up the pace. I find it helpful to have a specific section of track targeted for improvement each session as opposed to "be faster everywhere. " Which is, of course, the ultimate goal

135 drafting the c7 vette and gt3. 125 on the fast lap.
Installed an RB tubular front bar today, changed all the fluids and replaced my heater hoses and went to distilled water and water wetter, installed my oil cooler, and chopped a big vent in my hood. The oil cooler location will change in the winter when the air dam goes in but for now I'm copying Mr. Hydes location for now since his works well. The cooler is sealed against the radiator.

Went over to Curly's this morning, we installed the Singular 3 inch ducts on laz and ran them to the openings in the gv lip until I build an air dam this winter. Install was a breeze and this shaved a bit of weight compared to the stock steel dust shields.

Time to really push the brakes on the 18th and see what further upgrades I need.
Also a photo when I took laz to a local meet to show all the stance hipsters what a real car is
