Couple things:
Are you still on the internally stock 1.6 or have you put that forged 1.8 in?
What's with the Porsche(?) parked on the right after the esses?
You need to start running a counterclockwise course or fix your exhaust rubbing issues.
It looks hot, why is your NACA duct taped shut?
Lastly, I'm jealous.

Dunno know what happened to the Porsche - he didn't hit anything, either mechanical or ran out of gas?
Counterclockwise track coming soon - Atlanta Motorsports Park!! And they have started paving - hopefully will run it in the fall, fingers crossed! Still HAVE to get to the source of the vibration though.
Taped Naca duct kept me from freezing - it was actually 31F that morning, but warmed to 70 later on, thankfully!
Jealousy leads to purchasing go-fast goodies - not always a bad thing!!

Recently I've added 11" brakes, 3psi, and brake ducts are in the mail. Believe me, the go-fast goodies are/have already been purchased.
I've raced on two recently paved circuits, you'll never want to go back. Smooth is nice.

Well - I've officially puked my 1st tranny today! Stopped in to say hey, grabbing spare 5spd, install tonight with plenty of beer and pizza and an awesome group of guys willing to lend a hand. Pic of steel soup to come?

I was - and I had a spare given to me when I bought the car, and we installed it in 3hrs last night and pounded on it all day today - very much fun and glad I had it to swap in! BUT when the 1.8 is finished it'll be mated to most likely a 6spd and swap out my 3.9 R&P for a 3.6

+25mm H&R spacers. Best to get 30 though - the design uses the oem studs to bolt the spacer on, but the oem studs were slightly to long and would hit the back on a set of my rims that didn't have a slight clearance 'pocket' - so I had to grind the tips of the oem studs down so that the rim would mate flush with the spacer instead of the studs.

Saturday shenanigans at BMP
First started with the turbo blowing off the new taco manifold - I had a feeling it was going to happen when I torqued the turbo down - got that 'soft' feel. Anway, we removed the turbo, drilled, tapped and installed some heli-coils. Never had a problem after - however, in the rush to blow the metal out of the manifold, I started the car and revved it several times - forgetting I had the turbo oil feel line loose - talk about a freakin 3qt oil mess
Here's Hux doing his thing -
Then about 5 laps back on track, the tranny blew - about time really. Lost 3rd... so after the day, took the car to a buddy's shop, yanked and installed the spare 5spd I had on hand - in a bout 3hrs with a pizza break too...
The awesome group of friends turning wrenches and busting knuckles...
The damage
Before the weekend, I also made some deflectors for the front wheels out of ABS plastic... heated and molded some.
And last: some fun video of the weekend! I went a little too deep into 5 once and even the 11.75" bbk couldn't stop me! Took a trip to pebble beach... that starts at 15:00 - the wife bought me a Kodak sport cam - thought I'd see what it'd do so I used the go pro suction cup mount and locked it onto the left rear bumper - used the Adobe premeir essentials to do the PIP.

As always, quality updates man! That trip into the gravel looked like fun How did the Nitto's hold up - any flat spots from locking up the brakes? I sheared a huge patch off of my V710s a few weeks back at CMP after locking up the brakes going into 14 - was surprised at how f-d up it was. Does your car have ABS?

Ya know - I didn't flat spot any of them believe it or not... I was pulsing the peddle quite a bit, but they are definetly on their way out after 16+ track days on them. There are no more wear indicators on them! No ABS here - one flat spotted tires is costly enough, don't make a habit of it My 1 and only flat spotted tire was also with a V710 - they were at 65% life and I took the front right down to the cords - it ended my wekeend as I didn't have a back up set - lesson learned. How's the hard top of yours?

I'm just glad I didn't shovel the splitter into the pebbles when in the kitty box. In the vid, I tried backing up suddenly to see if I could spill pebbles that I might have scooped up on the splitter - didn't see any. If I loaded the front up - I would have parked it and not spill them all over the track.
