Oh yeah its a gonner! I was looking at using the stat housing from the front and mod it for sensor and heater-core port so I don't have to buy a re-route kit - sure will be a bitch to change the stat itself though.

I should be at the toy run as well - in DE4. No TT this time. So which car will you be bringing down Brian? That black beast? You'll get SOoooo much more track time with ReZoom for $100 more. If you ask me - Nasa-se just crams so much **** into a day that you only really get about 1hr track time a day... with ReZoom you'll get at least 2hrs/day - sign into the advanced/instruct group and you get 4hrs track time a day - back to back sessions as they let you run in either group!

Gene, I actually live 5 min from Barber, I have a place in Leeds. I was looking into going to the track for the first time down here, with Rezoom. How far away from the track are you?
I'm trying to button down the car and get it at least sort of track ready before Nov rolls around. Let me know if you can help and if I can see that car of yours.

One of these days I will - guess right now I need to redirect fundage to getting the 1.8 and supporting mods done so I can enjoy that back straight! Spending more on the 1.6 wasn't wanted - but needed for the next track day...
In the meanwhile - some ARTech love - thanks Abe!!

Looking forward to running there, I have heard nothing but good about the track.

Ahh man - that will be great! She can request me - funny how I just asked stan to pair me with another miata driver, but someone who has experience is a huge bonus when driving at some place like Barber. O'Connel is the guy I'm paired with, but shouldn't be a problem switching instructors! Let me know!
Edit to add: I have sent an email requesting to Instruct for Tara, hopefully she will be ready for solo at the end of Sat!

Arlightty then - here's the latest. Got new DTC60s for the rear sport brake rotors (also new set for the wilwoods). Also got the DW300 from TSE. So now knowing that my fuel startvation problem was being caused by non-OEM pump sock in the opposite direction, I decided to alter the OEM sock slightly - stupid move, we'll find out.
what I did was cut the end of the OEM sock open and insert a 3/8 poly-pro tube that I swelled at the end to fit in the pick-up hole of the fuel sock - right up against the pump. At the tubes end I cut at an angle and drilled 6 3/16 holes in the tube close to the end so the fuel comes in the end and through the holes. Then I melted the sock's end back together with a soldering gun. Looking at this, it will give me about 2" deeper pickup than before - compared to where the OEM fuel pick-up hole was. I wish I had taken picks before soldering up the sock, but you can see the tube. Probably overkill, but I should be able to run the thing on vapors. Maybe.
