My next car to sale thread
#263
I'm just curious though: you sold a nice 1.8 vvt car with literally better everything, with all the bells and whistles, for a 1.6, with a stock motor, because it was convenient due to already being boosted, and basically you made it sound like that's the biggest reason you got it, then you proceed to rip it apart into pieces, and basically re-do everything?
wat
Seriously. All joking aside can you explain that one to us? I mean that just sounds like full retard to us (which is partially why Brain is poking at your bleeding vagina so much lately lol)
I could see it if you just drove the daylights out of koto's car and never touched it, but you're basically redoing everything.
And please dont use some ultra vague and faggy excuse.
Tell us for realzies
PS: and all this with a garage full of 1.8 build forged goodness

First off I really, really don't care what most of you vag ***** think. So if you think it's full retard than cool story. I'm not doing this for any club ricer reason, trying to be "different", or whatever other actual full retard reasons are out there.
Second, I love how everyone says I'm redoing everything. I haven't touched suspension, brakes, and 99% of the interior (I removed the gauges in the vent holes and the glove compartment). Not to mention the hardtop and a history that could be tracked lots and lots of miles.
Third, when I got the cars my priorities were quite a bit different. I guess no one understands that priorities can change quickly. I think the big reason most of you douchebags think I change my mind so much is because I post a lot. It's a big reason this thread won't get updated anymore. I do change my mind a lot, there is no point posting every time it does. If I post here it will be a finished product. Nothing to do with 1.6 shame, or mt.net not approving of my decisions. So yea, my priorities changed, and circumstances changed.
For one I changed my major to engineering and believe it or not I am using a few of these projects on the Miata, for classes at university. I decided to use the miata as a bit of science project. That just happened to come along at the same time I got some good deals on some badass parts that will work, for the most part, on a 1.8 as well. In order to get a great deal on those parts I got a built 1.6 at the same time. So what is the harm in boosting the **** out of a 1.6 in the name of science for a year or maybe a bit more?
And in the end this 1.6 will make a **** ton of power. There will be a dyno, video, and photos of everything eventually. Could I make more with a built 1.8? Yes but I would have to sacrifice a few of the damn good deals I got. Plus after running all of it on a built 1.8 the next step is LSX and I won't ever do that.
So yea, **** off. Think what you want. Say what you want. I do actually consider all the variables when I make a decision, and don't just have some homebrew dial I spin every time I want to decide on something.
EDIT: And for the record I am not the least bit butthurt about the neg 1.6 comments. I respond harshly to them in good fun. I know 1.6 is fail in the grand scheme of things. But there is more to the story than 1.6 vs 1.8.

You did. And its vague and I still don't get it. Not because I don't want to, but because I genuinely don't get it. Unless you got all that crap literally next to free.....
Just calm down and stop being so butthurt all the time. I swear over the last few months you've QQ'd more than all the times since you joined in 2009. It can't be a coincidence

I don't ever QQ, but I do respond when people say it's a waste under every circumstance to mod a 1.6. And if you are referring to the whole sav thing I was never the one to say I wouldn't buy parts from him because he said modding a 1.6 is a waste. I did make a JOKE about how I just wasted money at TSE on a part for my 1.6 (which was a clutch cable that conveniently works on 1.8 setups).

BTW, just reviewed my old build thread (was looking for something) and saw the post you made there about getting a better downpipe. It's funny that I'm now in possession of your old BEGI downpipe and preparing to mount it this week. Who knew? I had the top part ceramic coated to cut down on heat in the engine bay. Looks great.

-he didn't get banned because of this thread, but a completely unrelated one
-you sold him the car so of course you're gonna praise everything he does and all decisions he makes
-1.6 owners need to stop being such drama queens. I think half the time these slap fights keep going is because your moaning makes us harder
-we still love you gayz. no seriously, stop being fgts and crying about it all the time. +1 props to everyone in this thread just because

I don't think anyone here ACTUALLY dislikes frt, even 18psi (see above). He's a good member who contributes good content, I enjoy him.
In regards to the 1.6 jokes, it's not like we only joke with him. It's been a LONG running joke on this forum for.. forever. We had to bust his *****.
Anyways I said it before and I'll say it again, an internally built 1.6 > stock 1.8. Here's hoping FRT comes back and updates us with a 300+whp turbo 1.6.

I'm guessing I was banned because of Joe's "I'm going to give away my car just kidding I'm going to create a bid war and make as much money as possible while everyone praises me for it", thread. Funny how a mod can turn this place into ebay. The IB global rules state all threads must have a price. Free unless someone offers me money isn't a price, or else you could just post "make an offer" for everything. I was referring to that when I made the $2k bid post as a joke. A ban for a few hours would have been joking too. But for a few days is annoying and pointless.
