btw is your nb red?
Whoops, wrong term used. I ordered the exhaust/turbo manifold, downpipe, exhaust and coolant/oil lines from Revent.
The turbo and intercooler will be sourced somewhere else.
And yes my NB is red, I have posted some pictures online some time ago (also on this forum i.i.r.c.).
Work on it is slow, but as a matter of fact I will be working on it this Saturday.
As long as my rusty Lexus IS200 does not break down too often any more, progress should be steady.

You are wrong w.r.t. to price: last year I asked for a quote from Reverant for a MS-3 basic and it was only a hair over 800 euros and less than 850 euros including shipping. The ME-221 costs also around the 850 euro mark including shipping.
Both options are plug and play into your NB-FL wiring loom and fully support VVT. Buying a decent BP-4W head could easily cost 100 euros and then you will have more work and less torque: it does not make sense to me.
BS-autotune should have no problem tuning the MS-3.

There's always a first time

For european customers, the plug and play MS3 from me is 849€ plus shipping. This is for a fully loaded MS3, all options in.

Do it, get a MS3. Other ECUs may work but I have learned from experience that MS is far more popular than most others, at least at the shops I go to. A 2560 -MAY- be able to make over 300 but your torque will end pretty quickly and you're really pushing it; An EFR 6258 will go above 300hp, give great torque and has fantastic transient response. We have a few vendors who can do EFR manifolds now, For an economic build (and if you want to avoid extra work) I'd suggest picking up the Trackspeed manifold. He's going to have solid lines like the FM set so the coolant lines wont get heat rot (I hated replacing them..), already has the manifold and a downpipe is in the works. He's also working on a transmission replacement for when you get sick of swapping out blown 5speeds
