I'm really surprised it took yhis long for someone to post actual statistics in this thread. I would also like to see the rate of gun ownership per capita compared to homicide rates and violent crime. I already know what these look like but it's always a useful visual. I'm not even sure why guns are such a hot topic when there are many other preventable events that cause far more loss of life, like distracted driving for instance.

 

Well the wonderful thing about states rights for this kind of thing is that we can see what happens with the experiment.

Everyone HERE, including myself, I have talked to is happy about the change, so I would say that we were at least well represented. I don't know anyone who is planning on open carrying, for myself it's more about not getting accused of brandishing or the like if someone catches a glimpse of the weapon.
