Like, when you got a girl (with whom you were not, in the grand scheme of things, compatible with) knocked up in high school, because you were both dumb-asses. And there was a decision gate:
You can both become trailer-trash, and produce kids who are also trailer-trash.
Or you can just... not do that. And instead continue your education and ultimately become productive members of society.
And so here we are.
It's OK to talk about abortion.

It's okay to talk about abortion. its even okay to have an abortion, imho.
But it's culty to pray to RBG, and put coat hanger stickers on your car glorifying it.
Giving birth is the the most feminine thing a woman can do, so the woke church of the left glorifies and encourages abortion--not only as a partisan wedge--but to dumb it down like it's going out and getting a haircut in order to attract new disciples. Women are no longer the bringers of life, they must be thought of the destroyers of life -- but equally holy and revered. Abortion is no longer a horror but your ritualistic entry and any opposed to even the slightest restriction to this religious right must be supporting “a future where all women are enslaved.”
I actually know a few birth givers in my HS who had kids. What's weird is, those breathing mass of cells are already through college and doing very well; as are adult units.
The weirdest is I'm still FB friends with a birth giver and sperm giver, and while the birth giver kept the breathing human, the sperm giver eventually settled down and had a unit of its own. They both had vastly different lives, but I wouldn't describe either of them as trailer trash.
Remember, the same people telling you your life will be ruined if you give birth, are also telling you men give birth and menstruate too, chestfeeders nurse babies, "mother" has been removed from newspeak dictionary, but abortion is a women's health issue/right.

The passage in the Declaration of Independence that starts, “We hold these truths to be self-evident,” with its references to equality, liberty, and happiness, is literally impossible to translate into Newspeak. “The nearest one could come to doing so,” Orwell wrote, “would be to swallow the whole passage up in the single word crimethink.”

Journalism, 2022 edition.

...We also wanted to see if different types of news coverage about Trump could widen or shrink this electability gap. In our experiment, we set up several different conditions, with participants divided up randomly into groups of roughly 200 people. We showed each group a different version of a fictitious news story — one that praised Trump for his work in office in 2020, one that was critical of it, and one that was neutral. We also labeled the stories as coming from either Politicoor Breitbart. We tested those particular media outlets in a previous survey and found that respondents recognized them as neutral and conservative-leaning, respectively. The control group didn’t see any news story. (We debriefed the subjects later to inform them that the news story was fabricated for academic research only.)
We've invested over $50 billion to develop medicines of the future.
The results were particularly interesting when people in one of the experimental conditions saw an article from Breitbart criticizing Trump’s job performance. After reading that, some 45% of respondents said they would wave a wand to make Trump president, but just 35% wanted him to be the GOP nominee. What was a 5-point electability gap in the control condition turned out to be a 10-point gap in this one. The beneficiary of this experiment was overwhelmingly DeSantis.
While Trump beats DeSantis in the magic wand contest 45% to 21%, his advantage over DeSantis in terms of the nomination is far narrower — 35% to 28%. The intervention — a conservative publication expressing concerns about Trump — turned a coronation into an actual contest. This should be a serious worry for Trump.
Of course, this is only an experiment. The real world is far more complex. But it suggests that even Republicans who are strong supporters of Trump are open to arguments about his ability to win elections, and those supporters seem to see DeSantis as a real option, at least right now.
...
of course this was only an "experiment" just like doctors "practice" medicine.
the best takeaway is that smaller corporate media outlets like Politico and Breitbart apparently have more credibility than legacy media.

Op-Ed: Here’s one factor that might peel Trump’s diehard supporters away

In case you weren't aware, they just voted to use your taxes to increase your taxes so they could hire 87,000 IRS agents to rifle further through your taxes in case you owe more taxes.
Senator Grassley: "I assume you've got other business?"
Director Wray: "Yeh."
I'm guessing he was still under oath?
Hmmmm......let's just shake Mar-a-lago and see what falls out.
Seems like our discussion about the corruption in the FBI last week has taken a new turn. I heard that the FBI was at Mar-a-lago two months ago and Trump let them see documents voluntarily. It will clearly be interesting to see how the narrative develops. And I've got no doubt that up until election day, every Republican who was endorsed by Trump (they all won) will have this raid used as a bludgeon against them.

It's always like that when the victim is someone they don't like.
