I disagree. I obviously dislike both flavors of congressmen. The ones who are pulling for exactly what they say they are pulling for are bad. The ones who openly lie about who they are and what they will do are incrementally worse and significantly more culpable because they offer a false choice to the electorate. If the rinos don't run, someone who has a real heart for conservative values might fill that seat and pull the right levers to help the country. But the uniparty decides which Republicans will get the money, win the primary, and fill the seat.

 

The term "RINO" has been used an awful lot these past few years.

It obfuscates an uncomfortable yet important truth.


Corruption, graft, misdirection, patronage, fecklessness, limitless deficit spending... These are all core defining characteristics of mainstream Republicanism in the 21st century.

A person who exhibits these traits while cloaked in the banner of the Republican party is not a RINO, they are simply a Republican.

Only a few stand outside of this norm, and whenever they are praised, they are just as quickly decried as "performative" by those whose primary allegiance is to the party name.


For those of us who were children of the 1970s and 80s, when Republicanism was personified by charismatic and wholesome-seeming leaders such as Barry Goldwater, Nelson Rockefeller, and Ronald Reagan, this may seem like an outrageous assertion.

But just as the modern Democrat party has forsaken classically liberal ideals such as freedom of speech and thought and the security of one's own property and liberty, so too has the modern Republican party given up the notions of small government, laissez-faire economics, and constrained government spending.


That is the reality in which we live today. And to try to dismiss this by saying "well, if it weren't for these RINOs..." is to willfully exist in a state of self-delusion which pretends that the ideological norms of the past define the reality of the present.


As individuals, neither Democrats nor Republicans in our government desire that which is best for the security and prosperity of the Nation and its Citizens. They desire only power and wealth.

In 2022, the Danish and Greenlandic governments agreed to hold a two-year investigation into the campaign until 1991, though some activists have spoken against the investigation's limited scope. In 2023, the investigation formally began, and 67 women sued the Danish government; the investigation is expected to conclude in 2025.

SNAP Audit Exposes Massive Program Vulnerabilities

The U.S. Department of Agriculture released results from a multi-state audit of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program initiated in 2025 under Secretary Brooke Rollins.

Data from 29 cooperating states revealed serious problems, including roughly 186,000 benefit cases linked to deceased Social Security numbers and nearly 500,000 instances of people receiving benefits in multiple states at the same time. In a small number of extreme cases, individuals were found claiming SNAP benefits across as many as six states simultaneously.

USDA officials estimate the vulnerabilities could amount to billions in improper payments annually, prompting proposals like nationwide recertification and tighter data-sharing rules. However, 21 states, many Democratic-led, declined to fully cooperate or filed legal challenges, citing privacy and statutory concerns.

Brooklyn Medicaid Scheme Nets $68M in Fraud Guilty Pleas

Two Brooklyn residents, Manal Wasef and Elaine Antao, pleaded guilty in federal court to conspiring to defraud Medicaid of approximately $68 million.

From 2017 through 2024, the pair acted as recruiters and marketers for adult day care centers and a home health fiscal intermediary, steering Medicaid recipients into programs in exchange for illegal kickbacks. Prosecutors say services were frequently unnecessary or never provided at all.

The scheme exploited programs like New York's Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program, using shell entities to launder money and generate cash for bribes. The two defendants agreed to forfeit roughly $1 million and now face up to 10 years in prison.

They are the sixth and seventh individuals to plead guilty in a broader investigation led by Homeland Security Investigations and the HHS Office of Inspector General.

Some may argue the legal status of their relationship is inconsequential. "Who cares if they were married or not?" But if it doesn't matter from a reporting/posting standpoint, why not just use the proper term for Becca Good, which is "partner?"

A GoFundMe account raised $1.5 million in just two days before donations were paused on Jan. 9 and money moved to a trust on behalf of Renee Good's "widow and family."
