we probably should ban guns and only allow the gov't to carry them...
THE LARGEST MASS SHOOTING IN US HISTORY HAPPENED December 29,1890 when 297 Sioux Indians at Wounded Knee Creek on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota were murdered by federal agents & members of the 7th Cavalry who had come to confiscate their firearms “for their own safety and protection”. The slaughter began after the majority of the Sioux had peacefully turned in their firearms. The Calvary began shooting, and managed to wipe out the entire camp. 200 of the 297 victims were women and children.
Wounded Knee was among the first federally backed gun confiscation attempts in United States history. It ended in the senseless murder of 297 people.
The Second Amendment, the right of the people to take up arms in defense of themselves, their families, and property in the face of invading armies or an oppressive government. The Second Amendment was written by people who fled oppressive and tyrannical regimes in Europe, and it refers to the right of American citizens to be armed for defensive purposes, should such tyranny arise in the United States.
Wounded Knee is the prime example of why the Second Amendment exists, and why we should vehemently resist any attempts to infringe on our Rights to Bear Arms. Without the Second Amendment we will be totally stripped of any ability to defend ourselves and our families.

I'm going to propose that, as a general rule, any time a person is killed while in the process of committing a heinous crime against innocents for the purpose of making a political / social statement, that we* fabricate irrefutable evidence that the decedent was, in fact, guilty of whatever behavior they proclaimed to find most detestable. Fudge-packing, child-molestation, Kia ownership, watching My Little Pony, whatever...
I predict that this will have an attenuating effect on infamous crimes in general.

Sounds like the residents of Chicago have got some catching up to do.
The following is going to make me sound like an evil ******* no matter how I say it, so here goes. I came across an article today which had a bunch of photographs (provided by the families) of the victims of the Orlando massacre. About 90% of the individuals pictured looked like precisely the sort of people you'd expect to find at a gay nightclub at 2am.
Go Stereotypes!

Chicago is starting to make Detroit look like the Hamptons.

A nationwide gun club geared towards the LGBT community has reportedly seen its membership more than double following Sunday’s mass shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida.
Pink Pistols, a 16-year-old organization that boasts dozens of chapters nationwide, went from having about 1,500 members Saturday to 3,500 Monday — an exponential increase that occurred in the immediate aftermath of the Sunday morning massacre that left 49 patrons of Pulse nightclub dead and dozens more injured, Denver’s Fox News affiliate reported Thursday.

I was going to post a snarky comment.
I went to images.google.com, and started searching for source material. But before I'd even completed the first search, the search suggestions themselves became more valuable than the image I'd been planning to create.

Hey, just spitballing here, but do you think that bad people use their belief systems as an excuse to oppress and kill others, regardless of what that system is? Except for Buddhists, of course. Pussies.

To be fair, King George III did commission the construction of the largest optical telescope in the world at the time. And, technically, he should be counted as a founding father of the US.
