Lol, customer gets what they want, a rushed car to hit the track today and be finished later.

Its a mates car, and this is his choice to tune low boost and RPM only; to have it safe for a track day and test the cooling and everything. It would get a full tune but I cant get an experienced enough tuner before the weekend for full boost and agressive timing.

Remember that this has the highest comp of any turbo miata on the site and we intend to run literally ALLOFIT.

... even Arnie confuses Austria with Australia:

I'm glad everyone focused on the obvious Austria joke

I like that lower duct, and that it ties into the stock undertray. How big a piece of material did you end up using? Lookin' good!

2 days to go until the track day..

Still to do.

Finish oil lines (1)
Fit MAC
Fit ecu+ get the engine bay wiring to work (no big deal)
Fit exhaust
Get fresh E85
Fit all undertray and alloy panels
Adjust oil pressure
Fit oil return
Refit a suspension arm/hub assembly and brake
Tune
Drive 200 miles to track.

*sigh*

The stock undertray is 700mm wide.
Then you need to go vertical and forward.
With a stock rear undertray and building an alloy front undertray, using a stock front bar the front vertical section is 130mm high and the rear is 180. Its a trapezium with flat bottom vertical sides and top sloping down toward the front.
The width from the front bar to the rear undertray is a curve but its around 180mm.

Dann

I drew a pic. Thats by memeory but Ive done a few it should be right, it will need some adjustment for your car so use the general dimensions to buy material and go from there.

Off to the dyno now. Going to put 10 or 12 psi in.. Suck it and see then, Run It in Sunday at the track haha.

Lots of new ducting, coolers Etc. No time for ebc so its on an MBC but that will be fine for low boost low hp For a day.

Will post results and video.

Its awesome BTW, revs like a sports bike, no leaks, very healthy sounding and started first crank.

So we stopped very early, when we had some odd delivery up top and then got told how old the fuel was. Too old.

But it made 228 at 6500 still climbing, 16*, 11psi, it was still reacting to timing. The issue was a miss not det, it sounded really really healthy.

I'll get sheets up tonight at home.

Tuner feels that it will make around 260 on this boost revved out with timing.

EDIT: these numbers are on the gate spring only btw, so it should make a lot more in the bottom with even just MBC.

So.. tuning cut really short.

Is what it is for now.

Damn that pain scheme makes that car look good. Be interesting to see if that scoop on the nose actually contributes to cooling much for the amount of drag it must make. At least that scoop will work better than just cutting holes in the bumper up there.

Leafy is right, that's one hell of a nice paint scheme. Probably one of the classiest ones I've seen on an NA in quite some time
