I always wanted to know what the limits of the stock catalytic converter were. Thank you for your time and effort. You have furthered our knowledge of our cars in ways no one had the courage to pursue previously. Your service to your fellow man will be a monument to your efforts long after your passing.

Motor is closed. Im very happy with how it went together. Ring gaps are big (.017), carillos were stretched not torqued (new for me) head went together beautifully. Crank plastiguaged spot on.
This is a LOT more motor than last time.
The changes are:
11.5:1 comp
GT2860rs instead of GT2560 (External gate), In theory this can do 400hp with enough boost (and probably backpressure) to turn the carbon emissions into diamonds. We will see.
Double valve springs
Titanium retainers
Bigger cams
Much more extensive port job done by a pro
Adjustable cam gears
Crank has had the counterweights off and is knife edged and fully polished.
External oil pressure control
Baffled sump (not sure the brand but its a gorgeously hand made stainless piece)
40mm Turbosmart external gate with screamer
Still a stock 1.6L inlet manifold and TB with some hand porting.
Will that kill the whole thing?
It also has a bunch of **** that really should probably be upgraded (billet pump, superdamper, crank sensor not cam etc) but it is what it is and the budget doesnt allow for that stuff. This is an extremely cheap build at this point.
Cheers,
Dann
