300zxrb26dett on here used to sell the kits for a great price. As for getting that plastic grommet off the bottom of the injector, I cut through them vertically with some wire cutters and they cam right off.

I am planning on attempting to cut the plastic grommet tonight on the injectors. I was just going to hit up auto zone or advance auto for the new rubber grommets that are needed.

Can anyone confirm the 12.5mm spacers are correct? The OP said 12mm.

Eh, ordered them anyway. Will report back with pictures when they're all assembled. Still need to get denso->USCAR adapters.

Does that piece need to come off? I feel like I've seen pictures of ev14s set up for a miata that still had them. I got the seal on fine with it there. Don't have a manifold handy to test fit on,so I suppose there's a chance it would bottom out and not allow it to seat properly.

Definitely has to come off. The plastic grommet is larger than the injector hole, so it prevents the tip from slipping in far enough (lol) and making a seal.

I left the plastic piece on there and used the lower cushion as you show it in the pictures. It was a real tight fit, but a little wd40 on the cushion allowed it so slip into the injector bungs and seal really well. I have over 5000 miles on the setup so far and no issues. I like that you end up with a tight seal between the injectors and manifdold. The RX7 injectors with new lower cushions fit really loose and I always wondered if I was leaking out any boost when I ran them, I don't worry about that any more.

I tried to find a fat oring that would make the ev14 fit the miata manifold but didn't have any luck.

I looked at all the places I tried to get my injectors from in the spring when I paid $25 a pop. All the places charge at least $50 a piece now. Glad I got mine when I did. Rockauto has the Standard Motor Products injectrs for the 2013 GT500 for $30 a piece which is crazy since the real Motor craft parts were $22 before.

Interesting. Mine slid on there without really so much as a fuss....

Also, wtf you're in Lexington? How have I not noticed this yet....

Watching this space closely, as I'm not sure if my yellow tops are going to be my power limiting feature. Making this change seems to be relatively painless from a wallet point of view.

Well, my injectors are hopefully finished (though I haven't cut the plastic piece off yet. One yes, one no, so I figure I'll test fit and cut if needed). However, could someone confirm the overall length of the injector? The extensions I ordered were not the extensions I received, but the OD looks correct.

So, is the verdict in? Has anyone actually installed these yet?

Shiiiii this looks badass. Would go along nicely with the mk budget setup. In for long term results and diy writeup.

Did you make the adapters or buy them? Nice looking.

I had to cut the hard plastic ring off the tip of the injector. It was bottoming out and keeping them from going in far enough. There was plenty of pressure without it though, and i'm comfortable it will seal fine.
