I've done some searching and haven't seen anyone mention this before so I'll ask the noob question.

When running this pulley, do you still run the pulley boss (pulley between timing gear and harmonic balancer)?

Cam gear -belt guide- timing plate - damper

Too many terms for the same bits. Starting with a bare crankshaft and a front main seal, you install (in this order)

-woodruff key and crankshaft timing gear (the one the belt rides on)
-SPM damper
-big damper bolt

That's it - the plate that the OEM damper bolts to is deleted along with the OEM damper.

That would be 60, -2 yes

Leafy 07-11-2014 01:42 PM

Sorry, too much time working with GM's where every other wheel is named normally, but the 60-2 wheel is called the 58X wheel.

Hey Emilio, Just wondering if there's any info on when you might be recieving another batch of the 4T trigger wheels.

Wow Leafy, you're so smart. I wonder how many Wikipedia page edits you have.

Can I just change 1.8 4-rib pulley to my 1.6 alternator? (car is 1993) Or do I need to change the radiator to 1.8 94-97?

I believe the shaft diameter and offset are compatible. But it is much easier just to use an NA8 alternator. That is what we do at our shop.

curly 03-01-2015 11:18 AM

I've found 1.6 alternators that have 1.8 shaft sizes, and some with smaller. Oem 1.6 alternators, I'm 99% sure are smaller.

When in doubt, run a NA1.8 alrernator.

jim_rocketmow 03-01-2015 01:36 PM

My 1.6 alternator has same size shaft than my 1.8 pulley. I'm just doubting about the offset of that pulley. It ise in good allignment without any spacers, but it seems to interfere with alternator case.. Hmm..
