So, I was over at Mazda Motorsports ordering some parts. Perused the MX-5 Cup Car section. The announced price is $53K. That sure seems like one heck of a deal. Hmmmmm . . . .

 

Just remember all the travel and consumable costs that add up in addition to that 53K...

 

I don't have the time anyway. Need to retire and race. But it's nice to daydream.

Yeah, not a huge fan of Matt Farrah. If I'm going to listen to a fat guy talk about cars, i'd rather watch Leno or Jonny Lieberman

 

He's so vague. He doesn't know zilch about the cars he reviews, just like the most obvious things, so it's just all "well it feels numb on center" and "whoa it's peppy". If you're not funny or entertaining, you better know your stuff and at least know what you're talking about.

Johnny is at least funny, and has the budget to make little skits and stuff in his reviews. Leno is high up enough to get sick exclusive cars that most others never get. That new guy doing reviews at Motor trend lately is really funny, the guy that just reviewed the e30 325 on the MT channel. Very entertaining.

But Farah, boring.

*edit: there's a guy on YT I think called savagegeese, he nerds out and does a bunch of research on the cars he reviews, they also put them up on lifts and really inspect them. kinda cool, been watching some of his stuff lately.

 

Jason Cammisa is the guy you're thinking of on Motor Trend's YouTube channel. I am not a real fan of his writing in print (better lately, but when he started at motor trend it wasn't much good) but he's great in the videos. I'm glad he took over Ignition from Carlos Lago.

Jason Cammisa is ******* hilarious. I like motortrends new style. A lot of really bad jokes, but they know they are bad. And randy pobst poking fun at himself a lot.

And I love how they all act like they hate the motortrend on demand thing, but have to push it.
