Sorry Leafy, just being a "grammar ****" here since this misspelling is my #1 "pet peeve" ever since I was spammed by a marketer trying to sell me a product that would make me "LOOSE WEIGHT NOW!!!".

Why would I want "LOOSE WEIGHT"?

This are a great example (singular verb with plural subject) of one of the dangers of being a grammar ****.

It could be worse though. A school in Melbourne highlights its language expertise by including the word "Grammer" in its title.

Yes, my use of a singular subject with a plural verb were delibert.

I'm not a carbon queen, but $15 is peanuts. Do you have a mock drawing of what you're thinking? It'd be a lot easier to picture if we had pictures. :P

If it's small, low profile, something you'd have to look hard at to see that they're carbon, I'd go for it. But if they're large and showy I'd just as soon go aluminum 'cause they're getting painted (or ano'd).

Carbon for no reason is stoopid. The original Gurney flap was aluminum, so why not keep it that way? The weight difference is nominal and the site of cracking, UV destroyed carbon is depressing.

As for the hood vents, my .02 is that replacing cut out aluminum bracing with riveted stainless steel louvers that have dimension means that any bracing strength lost would probably be gained right back with the louvers.
