On mine I have it set based on RPM open at 3000 close at 5000. It doesn't really hurt anything to have it open at wide open throttle unless you have a turbo and your EGR is before the turbine. The exhaust gasses only flow when there is a pressure differential ofcourse, so part throttle conditions generating 4-5psi of differential between the intake manifold and the exhaust manifold create good flow. At wide open throttle at most I would say maybe a psi or 2 if you have a restrictive exhaust in an N/A application.
You should be able to add a TPS stipulation too. At wot EGR closes, but I never went that far.

I have uploaded the base map files in the adaptronic forum if anyone is interested!

Travis I noticed you said that the Adaptronic doesn't do sequential ignition, but when I was going through the manual I found this,
, on page 19.
Can you verify that this feature is implemented? Also, which knock sensor are you using?
Either way after reading through this thread and trying out the software for the AEM, Hydra, and Adaptronic, I think I'm sold on it. I'll send you a message through your website.
In a cycle of four, as in direct fire ignition on a four cylinder, or wasted spark on an eight cylinder engine, (ign 3 set to ign 3) and aux 1 set to ign 4.

Interesting find. Bear in mind that ign3 is used to run the tach output and you may or may not have an extra PWM output to assign for ign4. If you can get around both issues, not sure how beneficial seq ignition would actually be, other than cool in a geeky kind of way.
Isn't there a way to derive a tach signal from the triggers? That would free up a PWM output.
I looked at a config file for the 1.6 and the only pwm used was for the idle control, so I should be ok.
The geek cred is the most important part though.

Turbo Roach,
I know they did implement it because the adaptronic is now being used on some V8's in wasted spark. The big problem would be that I wouldn't have a plug and play harness for that. The new ignition system I've got comming out with supplies a tach signal. You'd have to use that or something like it that generates a signal to run full sequential.
We are officially at a 2 count if you come on board. 18PSI, and Stein both ordered ahead of time. They didn't want to wait!

I have installed mine, downloaded the base map and fired it today. I started the car on the stock ECU first. It idled fine. I then switched over to the Adaptronic. It wouldn't stay running, but it did fire and run for a second each time. From the manual, it appears that it is a fuel issue. Travis, I'll call you tomorrow when I'm in the shop and we can talk through it.
Stein and I both have the aem uego. Im also very interested in the start then die issue. When you guys work it out make sure to post about it here in case I go through the same problems. Hey travis when is mine going to ship? I am ready for it lol

Its just a fuel issue, I'll get him squared away today. Once he has got the idle fuel map nailed down I'll see if I can get that map from him, and you won't have to mess with fixing that problem. You should have your unit by Thursday Vlad!
Sweet. I'm super interested in this since both of you guys have BP4Ws like me.

The closed loop idle control is very good on these systems. Is there anyone else who needs to be on this group buy list? I have deliverator and turboRoach. If you guys haven't picked up on it yet the 99-00 are PNP. No problems! 3 more people in and the price drops!
I understand. I was just pointing out that it could do it, because that was listed as one of the things the Hydra could do and the Adaptronic couldn't.
If all works out, add me to the list. It'd be nice to see one working with larger injectors. What were the idling issues with Steins?
Stein's idle issues aren't going to be much more than getting some parameters coarse tuned in.
We haven't seen any obstacles yet really.

From what I can see you should be able to idle massive 1600cc's just fine. The resolution specifiable is 0.000ms +/-.001ms.
Also I don't know if I mentioned this or not, but the NB's and the NBB's should have plug and play launch control with what you get in this group buy. Nothing else necessary. Talk about shaving time off at the strip. That is the way to do it.
