Many years ago, I was shopping for a thick leather belt for a Halloween costume. I wandered into a "leather shop" in the mall, only to discover it was a place dedicated to bondage and kinky outfits. The manager, when I explained what I needed, was more than helpful.
I never set foot in that place again.

 

 

This is just an absolutely hilarious holiday tradition. Or, rather, a pair of traditions, one of which, despite its popularity, is a serious crime.





I feel some Richard Hammond in the way he delivers that monologue.

 

Somehow I got interested in the Shetland Islands, maybe because my wife’s family is Swedish/Norwegian but also because they have interesting webcams.
They have a festival called Up Helly Aa which is pretty much a celebration of Viking heritage. It also features fire, but intentionally -
