That's at Jake's Drag Strip in Moulton, AL. I was there that night. Dude made two passes, this one on a brand new transmission, and a second where he shagged his brand new transmission.

A couple of my buddies and I grilled the guy for half an hour about the car.

Interesting details:

He built it in his garage

It weighs almost 4000lbs

The transmissions are builty-built Dodge 3500 12 valve transmissions, and he gets between 2 and 75 passes out of them before all the guts jump out in the launch box (Faefae?)

He has half a dozen billet compressor wheels machined into the ends of anything aluminum and an appropriate size. Apparently he's friends with the lead machinist at Precision, and dude likes to send him their test parts that also happen to be wastegates and water pump pulleys, lol

I will admit that a couple of years ago, while driving either to Phoenix or back home from it (can't remember which) I stopped at a McDonald's as I was quite hungry and it was the first restaurant I'd seen in a while.

Having not been into one in quite some time, I ordered what seemed to be the simplest and most appealing product on the menu, an Angus Burger.

I was really quite surprised at the fact that the product which I received not only tasted good, but it had the visual appearance of a burger that I'd expect to see on a billboard. Well proportioned, carefully assembled, etc.

That said, I can't quite understand the fascination with how food looks. Frankly, a typical hamburger from In-n-Out looks like crap, and yet they are oh-so-tasty.

 

I really wish Five Guys would take a page from Elevation Burger's playbook and not smash your burger into a little ball before putting it in the bag

 

i wish they'd take multiple pages.
