Tried ARROGANT BASTARD ALE yesterday.
Talk about BITTER. OMFG. Hated it..

Actually many of the dark brews I've tried recently I've not been a big fan of.

Currently trying BALTIKA: Golden Lager. Brewed in Russia, and quite tasty actually. Very mild, very refreshing. Liking it.

pusha 09-22-2012 10:55 PM

oh dear

you're like the noob who comes here bragging about how he just bought an ebay turbo kit and is going to make 400 hp.

here's a tip:

countries known for good beer have good beer.

countries not known for good beer do not. generally those will be fizzy light lagery beers in green bottles.

sooo what else is available near you? I will help you pick.

thirdgen 09-23-2012 04:00 PM

Vlad, I recommend shock top for you, lol.
Actually, since you're from California, try lagunitas lil sumpin sumpin ale.

y8s 09-23-2012 06:39 PM

actually since he's from california, i'd suggest:

Boont Amber Ale
Red Nectar
Red Seal

Those are all easy drinkin' california-y red/amber style ales. Little bit malty, just a touch of hops, and goes down easy flavor.

I can vouch for the Boont. Excellent everyday style; I miss is greatly.

Lost Coast Downtown Brown is ok. Most everything from Eel River and Mad River is tasty and easy to drink.

I've had red seal...I dig it.
