that glassware and picture aren't even mine. i scour the internet for photos of the beer i was too lazy to photograph.
JOE: I don't know what a Dolby glass is but I found this: https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1349017254 and this: https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1349017254 And I'm not sure either would make me want a beer. |
My guess is Joe wants the Dolby double D symbol.

https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1349040404 I was curious as to where a person finds such a thing. Not sure what the little Yoda-looking thing is about. (Lord of the Rings, if I recall, but is his name Dolby or something?) |
no. his name is faeflora

What does FaeFae have to do with a Dolby glass?
Anyway, I picked up two bottles at TJ's a week ago. The first was Botswain's Chocolate Stout ($1.99), which I didn't get a picture of, but was quite yummy if you like that sort of thing. I rarely condone flavored beers, with the exception of coffee and chocolate stouts / porters. Then I had this one, which was $2.99 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...1&d=1349106353 Quite interesting. Very slightly hoppier than I was expecting, but it didn't overpower the rich, malty base. It had a sort of woody tone about it, which was surprising as there was no note about the beer having been cask-conditioned. |

Well, then. My sarcasm detector is CLEARLY malfunctioning. Mmmhay. |
FYI the elfish troll looking guy is Dobby from Harry Potter. Dobby. Dolby. Dobby Pro-Logic?

This thread needs more love, and I need a couple of bottles of Bell's Two Hearted Ale. Or Oberon. Full Disclosure: I hoping to culture their house strain ;)
I propose we get some tradificating going on here. Is there a USPS flatrate box that will fit a 22oz bomber? Lots of stuff in this thread I cannot get on the left coast, and you east coast weenies need the fresh cascadian hoppy goodness. Anyone interested? |
I'm down...
|
Someone send me a beer.
|
You guys are hilarious.
Let me know if there is something west coast you want to try but can't get, I'll see if I can find it, and we can engineer a trade. |
how about the the great miataturbo beer trade? I am down for trading west coast beer for east coast.

Guinness: overrated so much it's now underrated. misunderstood to be a hard-to-drink beer. It's actually a very LIGHT bodied beer (dont confuse color with body) and very easy drinkin'. store in your basement, not the fridge--or at least leave them out 20 minutes before you drink. Fat tire: pretty much a quintessential micro brew amber. little hops, little bit malty. try not to drink all 6 in one sitting. oh and don't serve it too cold. I would say fridge cold poured into a room temp glass will be good and warm up to the right temp as you drink it. guinness lager: who knows? there are other more interesting black lagers out there. |
