If it wasn't for the fact that no one would believe I was sick I would...Since I told everyone I was hopefully starting the car tonight I'm kinda stuck..
Plus there's only 2 of us here...

Update:

Sebastian and I did:

- Wiring
BUT I do not remember doing "Idle" or "KnocksenseMS"... I guess you're using stock ECU settings for idle air control? and your ears for knock.

- Software
ALL DONE

- Setup
ALL DONE

but... last step of Setup is "Start her up to make sure it works."

That's where we left off... since it wouldn't start.

So, you should have to start at "Configuring your tune" which is on Page 5

I didnt think at all to ask Scott about putting in the KnockSensor, which was really dumb on my part...

Somethign that can easily be added after the fact?

I've never really heard an engine ping/knock so I wouldnt mind a lil LED telling me to backoff!

But as we've been saying, let's get her started first...
Really feeling like crap, I hope she at least starts right up cuz I dunno how much energy I got left today...

While we're on it, do I need to make all the changes/setup steps on the instructions WHILE the MS is plugged into the car and car is on??
Or can I make sure she starts, remove MS, and make all setup changes with laptop/ms from in the house?? Or it all needs to be done from inside the car while running/idling?

Guys MS has power, I believe I have fuel, dunno bout spark...
Its cranking nicely, but doesnt want to fire...?

If you're in your 20s or older, a consistent 101 fever is very dangerous. Take car of that first.

Thanks for the concern rick...I gave up after not hearing from scott about my problem, and got some rest..


Scott, I really appreciate how you left me hanging like that last night. Pretty low class move in my opinion.
I got your email giving me all the technical trobleshooting I need to do, and if you wouldve kept your word and called me back to walk thru it I wouldve gladly done it(although that wasnt what we agreed to). I'm not gonna sit here and try to pretend like I understand what I'm doing. I took the ms apart for you, now you want me to take the harness apart??
We were 100 percent crystal clear that this was supposed to be PLUG in, and TURN key. You were so quick to post a video saying how it worked perfectly out of the box, whatttt happened? Now you want me to take it apart again and do what you didnt do, for the 2nd time??
I've been more than patient, and have spent money sending it back to you, this needs to be made right as you promised..
When you said "everything works perfectly except for the EBC", I was nice enough to let it slide...because our agreement was a COMPLETELY functioning MS in my hands ON FRIDAY.
Waiting on your response...
FWIW, before posting here I tried calling 3x's, texting 3x's and you refused to answer or reply...
Really dissapointed in the way your handling this. So now its Saturday, and I still dont have a functional MS..I'm dying to see how this is "made right" as you promised twice before...

I wasn't in any way being nasty. just stating how I feel abou the series of events that have taken place...If they are nasty, then I guess the description will be nasty.
Put urself in my shoes and trust me you'd be doign the same...

According to Scott, the MS wasnt registering the Tach signal, and therefore no Tach no spark...

We're uncertain of its the MS or the harness as of this point...

Well Im sure it will get resolved probably something stupid. Being that I just have a base Greddy I have no idea what it would be. I do think Scott was going to get his new car today and that might be why you havent heard from him.

You know though now that I think about it I had something that may be similar. I was trying to get a Bipes ACU to work and every time I installed it no spark. I would get the CAS code from the check engine light. I sent the unit off to Bipes they tested and it was fine. Bear in mind the car would strart without the Bipes. Evedryone said a CAS is either good or bad, no in between. I bought a used CAS and all was fine. Might be totally unrelated to your problem

I hear ya man, and I'm sure its something that will be resolved...My main issue is in the way I'm being tossed aside. If he is getting his car today, he could've tol dme and I wouldve gladly told him to make sure he gets back to me this afternoon.
However leaving me hanging, not returning calls/texts/etc is inexcusable. Hopefully everything is ok with him, as thats the only reason I could see acting the way he has. If he was just busy, I wouldve worked it out with him. But again all wouldve been resolved with 1 10second phone call which he chose not to make..

As for the CAS, the car was runign fine beforehand, and per Scott its the MS thats not registering RPM, either because of the harness or the MS itself.

The fix is simple, get on the phone, I can be his eyes to see where the problem is, and then he can walk me thru the fix. Unfortunately its now 2pm and Im growing more aggrivated as more time goes by.
Technically, Im a customer who is dissatisfied. And he needs to address the issue. Thats really all it is..

Do you have a pinout for Scott's MS? To see which wire on it is the RPM/tach signal. I'm not 100% familiar with these cars, but I would assume the stock ECU gets the tach signal off the CAS, then the MS just takes it from the stock ECU.

Finally heard from Scott, he's not confident that it can be fixed over the phone, or if he sure of whats wrong.

He's overnighting me his MS...

To be continued on Tuesday as I await yet another MS delivery...

Sorrrrrrrry to keep u guys hanging...

Well not much has happened. Obviously over the weekend nothign could be done..It was suppose dot ship to me on Monday, but the courier made a mistake and never showed up...
It did ship yesterday, and I just received it!!!
Will try it out tonight!!!

Over the weekend we decided to troubleshoot that Tach signal on my MS and had no luck. I cleaned something up on the harness, and removed a resistor on the MS...same result...

Scott actually started HIS car with his MS before sending to me...SO should come down to hopefully just a settign or 2...or at WORST case the harness is the issue...

Please cross ur fingers every1!

PS--In the meantime I been pullign my hair out trying to update an old Powerbook to run megatunix...But I still have my bro's laptop to at least get it started, no worries...
