I've never driven one, but have ridden in one on track and it just looks the business. Good visibility for a coupe, perfect proportions, incredible high-revving engine, just... Wow.

I have yet to see 6ULs on a brz/frs in real life. And if I see another RPF1, I might just puke.

S/C path is my 'Keep It Simple Stupid' mentality. I don't want to build another motor, and I hear the rods go like twigs after so much tq.

As long as you keep them under 275hp and don't beat them like a rented mule, everything lives, even track day bros. But the desire for hard parkers and dyno queens is killing real info.

Yes, that is a concern. If I go that route, spending $2k to replace the rod bearings and motor mounts, would happen as soon as I got it home.

I just had a long conversation earlier with a guy that bought a 2012 Comp pack, new and has 80+ track days on it. Camber plates, brakes, tires, let the car warm up, and he's had exactly NO issues.

The E92 M3 seems to really be the great compromise of luxury/looks/power/handling/sound/etc.................or I'll be patient for a 981 S or M2. I'm not going to be impulsive like I was with the BRZ.

It DOES get blown into the giggleweeds performance-wise by the 'maro, though.

lol dude you're just as impulsive (or a better word would be all over the place), except you keep repeating to everyone (but mostly to yourself) that you're gonna make the best, most well thought out decision ever.

there's nothing wrong with discussing cars on a car forum, but when you're like

"I'm gonna get soon"

and then

"ooh a mustang, ooh a camaro, ooh an e92 M, ooh an exocet, ooh an STi, ooh a squirrell, ooh a yellow flower" it's just kinda amusing

You clearly have absolutely not a whif of a clue of what you actually want, you just want something
Even your criteria/wants change on a weekly basis. And you keep justifying every single one of them with a very thought out justification...until the next day when it all changes and we start fresh

(I'm btw not in any way saying you should stop, just trying to get you to see what's happening)

Dammit, if you make him rethink this whole thing and he stops posting about what he's gonna get, I'm blaming you.

completely maxed out a set of ID1050's on DW300 pump and ID1300's on Walbro 450 pump.

getting tired of running out of fuel up top. ordering dw hardwire kit to see how much that helps. if not, next stop: big boy fuel system with twin pumps, surge tank, ID1700's, the works. Really trying to stay away from that though, it's pricey.

Oh yes. Some people talk only after they have made a decision (these would be the more engineering-type personalities). Other think by talking.

I'm an engineer. My youngest son is a talk-it-out thinker. I used to think he was indecisive and a bull-*******. Now I just listen until he works things out.

We are both creative, but in different styles.

Was going over 'needs' vs 'wants' for xmas gifts with my mother. She has no idea what I'm interested in as for a gift. After going over 'needs' ($$$Project Cure AIDS$$$), she wanted to know simple 'wants'.

Me: "Well, I wouldn't mind putting LEDs all around the scion."

Her initial thought was rice bucket underglow all around *facepalm*

She was a few rum/cokes in, had to explain turn signals, license plate, interior lamp etc. Over all, I priced out everything to be just a little over $200.

blingbling

I have 30 or so things on my Amazon wish list that I want. I point people to it and get the response that they don't have any good ideas for me...my list is boring. Well, tell ya what, I don't need any more ******* socks or shirts or pants or sweaters...I don't need 30 more rags for my car...I want what I put on my list of things that I want, not what you want for me, but what I want for me...so use my 30 item list I sent you. /rant

lol

I'm apparently getting an SMY dual gauge pod cluster surround, a defi boost gauge, and an aem wideband. She also told me to order the 11+ front bumper and all the stuff needed to do that conversion on my sti, since she doesn't really know how to do that. Definitely not complaining about those presents

I told my family if they have to get me something, buy me a vinyl you enjoyed growing up. Otherwise, you aren't affording my needs or wants (just bought a house).

Nice. Is the SMY any better than the Autometer one?

I've only seen one autometer one, and it was really terrible quality.
SMY fits decent and looks OEM

My ETS top mount just arrived, it's magnificent. Same top notch core/build quality as Grimmspeed, but significantly larger in every dimension. This was another last minute spontaneous present from wifey and I'm really glad I decided to try ETS. This is to compliment the blouch turbo
