I gotta lose weight too. Currently 34 waist and at the actual limit of the Recaros. They are super #racecar bolstered so any more girth on the sides and they'll be uncomfortable.
This kinda surprises me, since I imagine 90% of mustang drivers to be really fat McDonalds eatin MURICUUUUUH broz |

Considering something like this at this point. The only drawback is I won't know exactly how loud it will be until I run it.

I posted in that thread trying to get that axleback and he said he wasnt going to seperate it. Then he sold it to someone else. :hatecat:
Planning to do a track day in this thing in a few months. Suggestions/opinions/insults appreciated. Gonna put better pads on it and run it. I just have a generic stage 1 tune, may put in some 100 octane per paranoid thoughts. |
That's quite the downpipe.
|
Why does it get big then small. Seems pointless

That setup was originally on my 08 FXT a few years ago ;)
I loved it, sounded amazing, made torque like crazy, and while it did choke a bit past 350whp, I was ok with that due to all the torque and amazing sound. My FXT made 383/383. I can't stress how good it sounded. Hngggg |
I had considered making an offer on it when I first saw it, but the timing couldn't have been worse. Then he split it and now I don't feel like its worth piecing something together. I'm pretty sure I'd be shunned if I bolted that "whale penis" to a stock WRX axleback :giggle:
|
take that, add sti up pipe and sti axle back = perfect setup for you. Quiet, awesome sound, allthetorquez (for a 2.0 anyway) and stage 2 ready :likecat:
just sayin |
But but but... NASIOC says to never ever ever buy a stock STI exhaust over the stock WRX exhaust because it gains nothing!
|
you have the 04 dual tip, which is already different. And even the 05+ is slightly smaller (2.25 vs 2.5) than the sti.
Power wise you wont gain much but looks and sound wise it will be better. But you will likely not gain much power wise anyway cause 2.slow and td0slow. If you're ever bored and want to go stealthy and really simple stage2, that's the way to do it (imo). Your stage1 tune is really solid ( I would know :giggle: ) tho so there really is no rush. |
Running a cobb dp with an sti take off exhaust and up pipe on my bugeye. I like it but it isnt approved by nasioc. What should i do?

well you know all the experts are on Nabisco
....definitely drive it off a cliff into a fiery crash and start over |
Nabisco has an opinion beyond ask your tuner? I'm shocked.
|
Need to verify that answer, hold on, I'll ask my tuner.
...Yup, he said yes  |
Searching for an appropriate cliff. Forward or back flip?

Stop talking to yourself vlad. Makes you look weird.

This would be an awesome end.....

I'll get it all together eventually. My problem right now is that this exhaust as described would end up being catless if I'm not mistaken? The Miata STANKS right now and idk if I want to deal with that on a daily basis. I decided some time last year that the GrimmSpeed or Invidia catted 3" dp would perfectly meet my needs, but I'm lazy and haven't done anything about it. I'll keep a lookout for a takeoff STI exhaust in the meantime. |
