Nothing says today is going to be a good day when you start it out with 4 Loko at 11:00am.

Apparently 13" rotors won't fit in there, so somehow room has to be made available...

Have you seen the newer high-end Mitsu sets that use three lasers instead of a lamp and a color wheel? I've yet to see one in person, but I expect they'd deliver stunning color saturation. |

I have not, but if they come in those giant sizes like Mitsu used to produce, I'd enjoy one too. I've always been fond of the DLP picture.

My brother has a LG 60" DLP. It's freaking huge.

I want a 152'' Panasonic plasma. Not exactly a consumer TV, as it has no real inputs, you have to use a separate device.
|
Funny that you say this. Apart from an old 12" black-and-white unit, I don't think I've ever owned a TV that had a built-in tuner. Never really been an issue.
The specs on that big Panny are insane. It weighs 1300 lbs, and they don't even list the power consumption. Imagine the heat coming off the front of that thing... edit: Found it. The TH-152UX1 sucks down 4,500 watts. Thats 4 to 5 times as much as a typical electric space heater. And the rules of physics being what they are, that means that it's going to produce 4 to 5 times as much heat as one. You couldn't even power it with a standard 110v household circuit. You'd need a 30A 220v circuit (like what an electric clothes dryer plugs into) to get it to turn on. |

Jesus, I bowled like shit tonight. My average over 4 games was only about 112 a game. I blame it on it being lane 13. Plus I wasn't feeling well, these new meds don't agree with me.

My god Dutch is an ugly language. Never noticed it until watching an EB110 video on YT. I can barely bring myself to watch the video over this language. Even when I do watch, I'm distracted by the language. Dutch is the most foreign, foreign language to me. It doesn't sound like anything is being said, just a mad German person speaking in tongues.

I assume that's one of those "automatic" ones, where it's got two blades that sort of magically adjust to the right tension for every type of wire. Any good? I tried a few of those many years ago and just never found one that was any good with the really small stuff- 22 or 24ga stranded in particular tended to get nicked and damaged. Because of that, I still use a plain ole T-stripper. |
yeah, i love it.
http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=3932546 basically, the one side holds the wire in place, while the right side is the blade comes down and makes a cut then drags across to pull the casing off. it sees a lot of use: http://www.boostedmiata.com/gallery2...-57-32_828.jpg |
Hmm.
Have you tried it on stranded 24ga wire (eg: CAT5)? These days, that's actually the vast majority of what I strip, as we use it almost exclusively for all of our studio builds. (There's still a small amount of shielded 22ga in use, but probably 95% of the wire we run is single-pair jacketed stranded CAT5.) |
no, but I could cut off some and try it. IIRC, I stripped the wire in a USB cable to make it a Male-Male without issues, that was some tiny ass +22awg stranded wire. I typically do 18-22g.

A kitty I kept for 5-years is on his last day today. I loved him a lot, he was my little boy, but I had to give him to my sister so I could travel for work for a few years. He was always so sweet, and woke me up every day ~1 minute prior to the alarm...it was an awesome way to awake every day, but he didn't understand the weekends. Now today, the vet is coming to the house after work to help end the suffering of illness and emaciation. He had a tumor on his tongue, we had it removed, and he hasn't eaten in a month. He's now incontinent, emaciated, and doesn't move. He's lifeless, so we're going to make today his last.
I've had another cat for the last 6-months and I don't know that I should keep her because I don't know if I can go through with "the end" that I'm watching from a distance today. I'm trying to rationalize this by acknowledging the great life we give them by living in a house, a drum of food and water, chin scratchings, and that death in sedation is significantly better than the food chain, a car, or illness which they'd experience in the wild. It's selfish for me to deny the cat because i can't deal with her "end", right? |
I seriously am dreaded by the thought of losing my cats...no joke, i lose sleep over it.

I have been the guy who has generally put down all the animals in the house holds. I take them to the vet, I am the last man standing watching them die. Its horirble, bothers me and I dont like thinking of how i felt doing it. But, I believe all my pets deserve to pass away in the hands of someone they loved, so i honor them that way.
Now if only people who are terminally ill could have the same rights as the animals we keep. I got to watch my grandmother who went from on her own and super healthy to having a stroke and being stuck in a bed unable to talk or do anything for over a year. Bed sores, repeated strokes etc etc. Sometimes i think the world is really fucked up. Hustler, so man. Any pics of the cat? |

BTW, although my cat is literally the worst cat I've ever known, constantly biting, knocking stuff off tables, sitting in front of the TV, and generally being a bitch, she is very sweet when no one else is home.
http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._2954964_n.jpg We call her "Feral Polly" for a reason. On a side note, does anyone want several semi-domesticated stray cats? I'm taking one, hopefully my sister is taking 2, leaving 2-litter mates <1-year old who need a home. My GF and I feed them on alternating days and they will flip over for belly-scratchins. |
Yea, i often threaten to kill my cats but in the end, its just not possible. They have some ability to make me forget about how they knock everything over and puke everywhere.. that is of course until I find shit nuggets in my bed.
Send me a stray! |
Not every cat gets a tumor and dies hustley baby, no reason to never get another one just cause you're afraid of what "might" happen.
And it sounds like your cat lived a pretty damn good life. Better than probably 50% cats out there. You can come over for some angry sex later to help you cope. |

Send me a stray! She's now sitting in front of the TV and she knows I won't pull the trigger on the squirt bottle (could hit the TV) and even knows the sound is a bluff. These Capitalist kitties would not appreciate the way of the Canadian. |
I love my kitty. :)

My mom called me last night w/ a story about the gurL kitty. Big Cooze was locked in my parents' room for three days without food while they were out of town. My mom didn't know she was in there so she must have been asleep under the bed. There's no poop or pee anywhere. The only evidence that she spent time in there was a hairy pillow.
|
you said hairy pillow.

I have lived long enough to lose several wonderful dogs and kitties and it doesn't get easier. But I would not have traded the opportunity to love and be loved for loneliness and an un-enriched life out of fear of loss. I gave them a good life and I gave them love and respect. In the end I could look back and say how lucky they each were to have been rescued and how lucky I was for the opportunity to live a more complete and full life because of them. We were there for each other. I did my best to help each of them at the end, but when the inevitable time comes and reasonable efforts no longer keep the suffering at bay, they needed me to do the difficult thing out of love, too. They would not have lived even half as long if they were strays and would never have died as humane a death.
We honor them in life and they trust us to do what is right for them and so we care for them in death. I would never trade the richness of the relationship for a fear of pain. To love is to live. If you never lose anything, you have never gained anything. |
I feel a little better now.
I went a fed the strays at lunch, you fuckers need to adopt one or 5. I'm taking another home. I've grown attached to this herd so I'm really trying to get them all adopted. Feeding 6 cats get's expensive. I'm also a little surprised they survived the -3*f nights we had recently. |
My sister's beloved cat, Yanar.
Passed away recently at 16, after a horrible ordeal, leading to organ failure.. We are still "mourning" her. http://img651.imageshack.us/img651/2030/img0223z.jpg |
I'm not going to be one of those annoying people who begs you to adopt cats, this will be the only time you ever see one of these threads from me. These critters are less than 1-year old and lived next to my GF's old apartment and I grew attached to them. They're pretty social and they're my friends so I'd like to see them adopted as they are all that remains of the stray cat colony that wasn't killed in some recent bull-dozing. I'm happy to capture them and take them to you but they need a trip to the vet for spaying, a bath, and declawing (~$175 for everything including a chip with the City of Denton). All are confirmed female aside from #5.
My GF can pet and scratch all of them aside from #1 because she's so skittish. http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._1288624_n.jpg from left to right #1 is skittish, possibly not-catchable and you probably only want this cat if it will be a relaxed environment. (This cat is 2-4 years old, the rest are <1) #2 is very snuggly but shy and close to #5(needs to go with #5) #3 this cat is the runt, she's fun but mean to the other kitties about food #4 the fluffer is going to live with me #5 also snuggly, a little more outgoing than #2 but still close to her buddy (needs to go wtih #2) I adopted this ferocious beast from the same herd: http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._7893788_n.jpg |
The first one looks a lot like the wild neighborhood stray we eventually befriended and took in. She's gone from "don't touch me" wild to an annoying "love me right now" cat in two years. They warm up quickly.

This is honestly the worst national anthem ever:
I've seen better ones at high school basketball games. Why would they let some washed up spoiled ugly hag sing the national anthem and completely BUTCHER it like that? |
