How (and why) to Ramble on your goat sideways
Oh one more thing, to get to the main highway by our place I go past summit racing. However, I really hate having to go in there, wait in line at the cashier, verify my order, then wait at the service desk for them to pull it. I basically got next day delivery with that too when I lived in western PA so I might as well just wait out here in GA too. But summit can be good too when you need to physically verify if something will fit/work.

Actually, I do kind of understand.
While this is rare in the US, here in New York City, businesses tend to be clustered in certain neighborhoods around an area of a few blocks, and are called districts. In fact, many of our neighborhoods are actually named for the industries which historically occupied them, most of which still do. So, for instance, we have the Garment District, the Diamond District, the Financial District, the Theater District, the Meatpacking District, and so on.
The film Chop Shop, which is about a young orphan who finds work doing odd-jobs at auto repair shops, is set in the Willets Point neighborhood of Queens. (Located on Long Island across the river from Manhattan and The Bronx, Queens is one of the five boroughs, or subdivisons, of NYC, which is historically known for being heavily populated by recent immigrants and is the most industrial of the boroughs. Both of our major airports, JFK and LaGuardia, are there.) In reality, Willets Point sounds like precisely the sort of complex which you describe. It consists almost entirely of auto repair shops and junkyards.

My beef is referring to one that specializes in auto repair as "industry", which limits the horizons of the common person regarding the possibilities and the real scope of industry as we know it.

So, as luck and a keen eye would have it, I spotted one of these skidded off the shoulder as I exited on a tight cloverleaf off-ramp today, and so (like an idiot) I hastily parked on said shoulder and ran back up the off-ramp to retrieve my prize before it, or I, could get hit (or claimed) by the next car.
Must have fallen off from its perch upon a recently repaired car. I'm sure some mechanic in the area is kicking himself right about now. It has some mild road rash scuffs on one side, but it's purely cosmetic. It really quite a nice tool.

In two years, we've killed two of those things at work.
Round clip that retains the socket on the 3/8" drive broke on one, rendering it basically useless. The other simply stopped working / had no power, forward reverse buttons and power dial froze.
Ours aren't hardcoated either. If they are, it's the worst hard anodize finish i've ever seen in my life, i thought it was just a bare aluminum.
I hope yours works out better though.

It did drive very nice when I was using the amsoil break in oil for 500mi. It was much colder back in Nov.
Yup, conventional.
Daily driving the MSM to work, still breaking in the rebuilt motor. Eventually going to switch to a full synthetic.
Xede isn't tuned, boost is laggy on the GT2860. I'm another case of poverty
Just need to baby it till I can move into a new place, fixed cam/crank seals and it seems to be doing good. I think my valve cover still leaks though from high rpms 5k+
The weather is starting to warm up already in TX, so I may be sticking with 5w-30 for heat purposes

Mobil 1 is the synthetic line, they make conventional types which I think they call mobil super?
But mobil 1 is synthetic, I'm 99.9% mobil 1 is full synthetic 100% of the time.

When I broke in I did the first fill plus first 2 oil changes with Amsoil 'Break In' straight 30 and then moved to Rotella T 15w40. Rotella T is the white jug non-synthetic, you can get it at Wallyworld. I was told that the key here is the lack of friction modifiers in the T, as it allows the rings to finish seating. I don't know what modifiers are in the Mobile1 or the Castrol.
This was on the recommendation of the guy who sold me the Amsoil. I have no reason to doubt his word, especially when he could have sold me something else rather than telling me to use the Rotella T. Other than my unrelated valve stem seal issue I've had no issues.

Sounds like my experience in a public restroom stall a few years ago. Same sounds in the adjacent stall, then drops of blood on the floor. i got out of there quick.
